This Week 15 matchup carries significant divisional and playoff implications as the Bills and Patriots fight for position in the AFC East. The Patriots have surged to an 11-2 mark and could clinch the division with a win, while Buffalo remains within reach at 9-4 and could pull to within a game with a win here. The last meeting between these teams was decided by three points in favor of New England, but the Bills are favored as they try to get revenge this week.
On the Bills’ side, multiple players are listed as questionable, and star corner Christian Benford’s status has been uncertain due to a injury. That could lead to some added pressure on the Buffalo secondary. For the Patriots, linebacker Robert Spillane is questionable, but New England overall comes into the game relatively healthy and confident after a long winning streak.
The duel at quarterback features two of the league’s most dynamic signal-callers. Josh Allen leads the Bills with prolific passing and rushing numbers, and his dual-threat ability poses constant problems for opposing defenses. His ability to run and throw makes him especially dangerous in red zone and third down situations.
New England's Drake Maye has continued his ascent with efficient passing statistics and a growing ability to extend plays with his legs. Maye has over 3,400 passing yards for the season and he continues to get love in the race for the MVP award because of his individual contributions and the performance of his team.
Score Projection: Bills 24 – Patriots 27
Win Probability: Bills 48%, Patriots 52%
The Bills have a better recent track record of these two teams. But the Patriots have been better this season and have already won in Buffalo. I'm going to take the Pats as a slight underdog in this contest, as the Patriots will continue to look like legitimate title contenders in year one under head coach Mike Vrabel.
