The Central Division takes center stage Friday night as the Indiana Pacers visit the Milwaukee Bucks in a late-season spot where both sides are searching for traction. Indiana enters at 13-38 with a 3-20 road mark, while Milwaukee sits 20-29 with an 11-12 record at Fiserv Forum. These teams took very different approaches at the trade deadline and I'll break that down along with the action on the court in my Pacers vs Bucks prediction below.
Our Pacers vs Bucks Pick
Pick: Pacers -1.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 3/5
Game Snapshot
- Matchup: Indiana Pacers @ Milwaukee Bucks
- Date & Time: Friday, February 6, 8:00 PM ET
- Venue: Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Broadcast: NBA League Pass
Key Storylines
- Availability watch: Tyrese Haliburton remains out for the season with an Achilles injury. Milwaukee has listed Giannis Antetokounmpo as out with a calf issue recently and Bobby Portis has been on the injury report as well.
- Trade update: The Bucks did not make a splash at the trade deadline, choosing not to move Giannis Antetokounmpo this season. That decision will likely lead to Giannis being traded over the summer instead, but none of that does anything to meaningfully improve the Bucks for the time being. Meanwhile, the Pacers made a trade to bring in former LA Clippers big man Ivica Zubac in exchange for Bennedict Mathurin, which could make them an interesting team in the future.
- Primary engines: Pascal Siakam leads Indiana at 23.8 PPG with 6.8 RPG and 4.0 APG, while Giannis’ season line sits at 28.0 PPG, 10.0 RPG, and 5.6 APG for Milwaukee. Being without Giannis has really impacted what Milwaukee is able to do on both ends of the floor.
- Form guide: Indiana dropped a 118-114 decision to Houston earlier this week and then fell 131-122 to Utah. Milwaukee has won two straight games going into this matchup and will try to build on those recent results.

Final Thoughts
It's tough to feel a lot of confidence in either direction here, as both teams have made it clear that they are more focused on their future than their present. Still, I'm going to take the Pacers here, as they don't appear to be tanking as blatantly as the Bucks, who have all but punted on this season by not trading Giannis and not being able to play Giannis either.
