The Los Angeles Dodgers and Seattle Mariners will face off on Saturday night at T-Mobile Park. Both teams have clinched their respective divisions, with the Dodgers securing the National League West and the Mariners clinching the American League West. But both teams will be looking to establish momentum in this interleague contest. Before first pitch from the Pacific Northwest, continue reading to get my Dodgers vs Mariners prediction.
Tyler Glasnow (4-3, 3.30 ERA) takes the mound for the Dodgers. In his previous start, he allowed four runs in the first inning but settled in to throw four scoreless innings after that. Glasnow's ability to recover from early adversity will be crucial in this matchup against a Mariners offense that can put runs on the board with just one swing.
Logan Gilbert (6-6, 3.43 ERA) will start this game for the Mariners. Since the All-Star break, Gilbert has posted a 1.93 ERA at home, demonstrating dominance at T-Mobile Park. His consistency and ability to put mistakes behind him will be key for Seattle's success against the defending World Series champions.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Shohei Ohtani | Over 0.5 Home Runs |
Julio Rodríguez | Over 0.5 Home Runs |
Tyler Glasnow | Over 5.5 Strikeouts |
Logan Gilbert | Over 5.5 Strikeouts |
I am expecting another close game between these division winners. The difference in my eyes will be the willingness of the Dodgers to throw some of their starting pitchers in relief roles in preparation for the postseason. The Dodgers should have the advantage in high-leverage pitching situations because of that and Los Angeles should take a second straight game in Seattle.
