Each platform offers online wagering through state-approved websites or mobile apps. While all meet the state’s licensing standards, sportsbooks can differ in areas such as available sports, betting markets, app design, and responsible gambling features.
Below, we take a closer look at several of the more established Kentucky sportsbooks and outline how their platforms compare with one another.
bet365 Sportsbook is one of the online sportsbooks licensed to operate in Kentucky and partners with Sandy’s Gaming and Racing. The platform offers a mobile app that’s generally easy to navigate, along with a broad range of betting markets covering more than 40 sports. Regular odds-based promotions are available, though specific offers can change over time and are subject to terms and conditions.
Rather than focusing on a single welcome bonus, bet365 typically rotates introductory offers, which may include bet-and-get promotions or first-bet protection depending on when a user signs up. This approach allows new bettors to encounter different incentives without locking the platform into a fixed promotion.
In terms of betting options, bet365 supports standard markets such as spreads, totals, futures, and player props, while also offering wagering on less common sports like handball and ski jumping. Live betting is available across many events, with odds updating in real time as games unfold. The app also includes features such as bet boosts, parlay boosts, live betting tools, and customizable display settings
BetMGM Sportsbook operates in Kentucky through a partnership with Sandy’s Gaming and Racing and offers a mobile betting app that supports a wide range of sports and wager types. The platform covers major leagues such as the NFL and NBA, along with smaller markets like cycling and boxing, and supports live betting on many events.
A notable feature on BetMGM is the “edit my bet” option, which allows eligible wagers to be adjusted after placement, depending on timing and conditions. The sportsbook also runs rotating promotions that may include welcome offers, odds boosts, parlay-related incentives, and other limited-time deals, all subject to standard terms and conditions.
Additional tools such as early cash-out options and in-play betting features add flexibility when managing wagers. While app performance can vary by device and connection, BetMGM provides a broad, established sportsbook experience that may suit Kentucky bettors looking for a well-known operator with extensive market coverage.
DraftKings operates a licensed online sportsbook in Kentucky that focuses on a wide range of betting markets and in-play wagering options. The mobile app offers access to numerous sports and bet types, with live betting available on many events throughout the day.
One feature available on DraftKings is Pools, which allows users to take part in free-to-enter prediction-style contests alongside traditional sportsbook wagering. The platform is especially active during football season, with extensive NFL markets that include standard game lines, player props, and same-game parlays.
DraftKings also runs a rewards program that allows eligible wagers to earn DK Crowns, which can be redeemed for bonus bets or other perks. Promotional offers rotate regularly and may include odds boosts, parlay-related promotions, or early-win style offers, depending on availability. In addition, DraftKings provides responsible gambling tools such as deposit limits and cooling-off periods to help users manage their activity.
FanDuel’s sportsbook app is widely used in Kentucky and focuses on a simple layout paired with a broad mix of betting options. Bettors can place wagers across major professional leagues and a range of smaller markets, with live betting available on many events as odds shift during gameplay.
The platform supports features such as same-game parlays, in-play wagering, and live streaming for select events. Promotional offers change over time and may include introductory incentives, odds boosts, or parlay-related offers, depending on availability and applicable terms.
FanDuel Sportsbook does not use a traditional loyalty points system, but it frequently runs short-term promotions tied to specific sports or events. Responsible gambling tools, including deposit limits and self-exclusion options, are built into the platform to help users manage their activity. Overall, FanDuel may suit Kentucky bettors who value an easy-to-use app and consistent access to live betting features.
Circa Sports operates a smaller, more specialized sportsbook in Kentucky that places a heavier focus on pricing and betting limits than promotional offers. The platform is known for offering higher wagering limits than many competitors and for keeping margins relatively low, which has made it popular with experienced bettors in other regulated markets.
In Kentucky, Circa Sportsbook provides access to standard betting markets along with some less common options, such as yes/no futures and alternative lines that may not be widely available elsewhere. Live betting is supported across select events, though the overall sportsbook experience is more streamlined and utility-focused compared to platforms that emphasize frequent promotions or gamified features.
Circa does not offer a traditional welcome bonus, which may be a drawback for bettors primarily interested in sign-up incentives. Instead, the sportsbook centers its offering around large limits, consistent pricing, and a more traditional wagering approach. Circa may appeal to Kentucky bettors who prioritize betting limits and odds structure over promotional volume or app extras.

Kentucky does not impose state-level restrictions on college sports betting. Bettors are permitted to place wagers on in-state and out-of-state college teams.
Player-specific prop bets are also allowed under state law. However, the availability of college player props and certain wager types ultimately depends on individual sportsbook policies, as not all operators choose to offer the same markets.
Kentucky doesn’t have a major professional sports franchise, so betting interest in the state tends to center on college programs and nearby pro teams.
The University of Kentucky Wildcats draw the most wagering activity, especially during men’s basketball season. The University of Louisville Cardinals also see consistent betting interest across both basketball and football, particularly in high-profile matchups.
Beyond college sports, some bettors in Kentucky follow professional teams from neighboring states. NFL and MLB teams based in nearby markets like Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Tennessee often attract regional betting interest throughout the season.
Sports betting can be a form of entertainment, but it’s important to approach it with realistic expectations and an understanding of how wagering works. The points below are meant to provide general guidance rather than betting advice.
