Purdue and Minnesota will meet in Big Ten play on Saturday night. Purdue is 2-3 on the season and will try to steal a game on the road against the 3-2 Golden Gophers. Minnesota is looking to bounce back from a loss to Ohio State in their last outing. Before kickoff from Minneapolis, continue reading to get my Purdue vs Minnesota prediction.
Betting Market | Odds |
|---|---|
Spread | MIN -7.5 |
Moneyline | MIN -300, PUR +250 |
Total | 48.5 |
Purdue quarterback Ryan Browne has thrown for 1,338 yards and seven touchdowns this season. But he has thrown five interceptions and could struggle with a challenging matchup against Minnesota's defense. Minnesota's Drake Lindsey has thrown seven touchdown passes and two interceptions this year. He will try to bounce back after Minnesota was held without a touchdown against Ohio State.
Score Projection: Minnesota 31 – Purdue 20
Win Probability: Minnesota 72%, Purdue 28%
Considering Purdue's defensive vulnerabilities and Minnesota's strong home performances, the Golden Gophers are well-positioned to cover the spread in this matchup in my opinion. The Boilermakers' defensive struggles are likely to be their undoing against a Minnesota team eager to rebound from a tough loss to the top team in the country. I'll lay the points with Minnesota in their homecoming game on Saturday night.
