Hawaii (15-4, 7-2 Big West) enters this contest with momentum, winning 9 of their last 11 games with an offense that averages over 80 points per game. The Rainbow Warriors have shown they can shoot efficiently and put pressure on opposing defenses. Their top scorer, Isaac Johnson, puts up 12.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game and can spark scoring runs when needed. Despite this, they have battled inconsistency inside and could be impacted by the absence of key playmaker Aaron Hunkin-Claytor, who has missed recent games due to injury.
UC Irvine (14-7, 7-2 Big West) has played well at home this season and will look to leverage its balanced offensive attack and deeper rotation to keep pace with Hawaii. Jurian Dixon has been a reliable scoring option for the Anteaters, averaging 15.6 points and shooting well from beyond the arc. Kyle Evans has also been a force on the glass with rebounding and shot-blocking presence. Even though their offense doesn’t score at quite the same clip as Hawaii’s, UC Irvine has the defensive discipline to slow down opponents and make this a lower-scoring, strategic contest.

I'm going to lay the points with Irvine in this matchup from the mainland, as the Anteaters are 6-3 at home and should grab a third consecutive victory in this contest.
