• Vanderbilt arrives undefeated at 14-0 and has been one of the nation’s most efficient offensive teams, averaging 93.4 points per game and outscoring opponents by over 20 points per game. In fairness, they are taking on a much tougher team than usual in this contest, but the Commodores have a great chance to prove that they are for real here.
• Alabama (11-3) has played well in recent weeks and remains among the SEC’s strongest teams. A dominant win against Kentucky in the Tide’s last contest highlighted their ability to score in bunches even with some injuries present. But there is a difference between beating a struggling Kentucky team at home and beating a very good Vanderbilt team on the road and Bama will have to bridge that gap.
