Bet365 vs DraftKings. Which sportsbook is better? Which is the better fit for you? What does Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul want you to do? These are the big questions that we're here to discuss today. If you'd like some answers, then you've come to the right place!
In this article, we'll break down the biggest similarities and differences between bet365 and DraftKings Sportsbook. We'll also let you know which sports betting site has the advantage in important categories like user interface, sports coverage, odds and pricing, promotions and bonuses, and customer support.
By the time we're finished, you'll have all the information you need to make an informed decision between bet365 and DraftKings Sportsbook, ultimately choosing the one that aligns best with your preferences and betting style. Now, let's dive right in!
Founded in Massachusetts in 2012, DraftKings first made a name for itself as a trailblazer in the world of daily fantasy sports (DFS). However, once the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the Professional & Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) in 2018, it seamlessly transitioned into a major player in the online sports betting industry.
Capitalizing on its DFS success, DraftKings quickly leveraged its established user base and brand recognition to become a prominent sportsbook. The platform's entrance into the sports betting arena brought a fresh and innovative approach, with a particular focus on user engagement and interactive features.
On the other side of the ring, we have bet365, a global giant in the online gambling and sports betting market. Established in 2000 in the United Kingdom, bet365 has amassed an enormous user base worldwide, and its name has become synonymous with reliability, extensive market offerings, and a user-friendly interface.
In 2019, bet365 Sportsbook set its sights on the United States, launching a strategic expansion plan to tap into the flourishing American sports betting market. Overall, the company has struggled to keep up with household names like DraftKings.
But here recently, its aggressive marketing strategy (which includes national commercials with actor Aaron Paul from the hit show Breaking Bad) as well as its launch in a growing number of U.S. states has propelled bet365 into the spotlight.

Both bet365 and DraftKings put a special emphasis on attracting new users with enticing welcome offers, aiming to provide an extra incentive for bettors to choose their platform.
However, when it comes to comparing these incredible sign-up bonuses, we have to give bet365 a slight edge for the flexibility they provide.
At bet365 Sportsbook, new players will have the choice between two exclusive deals: the Bet $5, Get $150 promo or a $2,000 First Bet Safety Net. Here's how they work:
Another thing you're sure to like is that bonus bets at bet365 have just a 1x wagering requirement in place, meaning that you only need to wager the bonus amount once before you can withdraw any associated winnings.
To opt into either offer, just sign up for an account using our exclusive bet365 promo code ATSBONUS, and you'll unlock the fantastic benefits awaiting you.
On the other hand, at DraftKings Sportsbook, all new players can take advantage of both the Bet $5, Get $200 promo and a daily no-sweat same-game parlay (SGP). Here's how it works:
Just like with bet365 Sportsbook, bonus bets at DraftKings have just a 1x playthrough requirement in place, meaning the bonus amount only needs to be wagered once before you can withdraw any associated winnings.
In addition, no promo code is needed! You can opt into their welcome offer by simply using the links we've provided on this page or in our full DraftKings review.
For most bettors, both bet365 and DraftKings Sportsbook will have you covered with just about every sport or league you're interested in (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college sports, international soccer, golf, tennis, and much more!) as well as all of the most popular types of wager, including but not limited to moneylines, point spreads, teasers, parlays, and prop bets.
However, bet365 Sportsbook gains an advantage when it comes to covering a greater number of sports and leagues, while DraftKings has a clear edge in terms of alternate lines, prop bets, and options for same-game parlays. As a result, we have no choice but to declare this category a tie.
If you're into more niche or specialized sports, bet365 Sportsbook has a bit of an edge. For example, the esports section at bet365 is very impressive, featuring a wide array of tournaments and events.
Whether you're a fan of League of Legends, Dota 2, Call of Duty, Valorant, or other popular esports titles, bet365 provides comprehensive coverage with a variety of betting markets for these niche competitions.
bet365 also has you covered with wagering options for snooker, volleyball, cycling, and even winter sports like cross-country skiing. The platform's commitment to offering an extensive range of sports ensures that bettors will never run out of new and exciting options to explore!
On the other hand, if you're a fan of mainstream American sports like basketball and football, but you like to place unique and creative bets, DraftKings Sportsbook takes the lead.
DraftKings excels in providing a diverse range of alternate lines, player props, and same-game parlays, making it the preferred choice for bettors seeking a more customized and dynamic betting experience.
For example, when it comes to player props in an NBA game, you can bet on much more than just points, rebounds, and assists. You can place wagers on who will be the game's leading scorer, first quarter points, head-to-head stat matchups, and much more!
Now, this next category will either be the most important or a complete non-factor. We're, of course, talking about the availability of bet365 and DraftKings Sportsbook in your particular state or jurisdiction.

Odds pricing is a pivotal aspect of the sports betting experience, influencing potential returns and overall profitability. When comparing bet365 and DraftKings in this particular category, neither platform has a definitive edge.
You'll find that the odds offered by both bet365 and DraftKings are competitive and reflective of market trends. Both platforms consistently strive to provide users with fair and enticing odds across a wide range of sporting events.
Since getting the best odds on a bet is crucial for maximizing potential profits, savvy bettors often create accounts with both bet365 and DraftKings to be prepared for any subtle differences in pricing. This allows them to shop for the best odds and lock in wagers that give them a strategic advantage.
bet365 and DraftKings Sportsbook each offer a comprehensive mobile app and user experience for sports betting enthusiasts, but in this head-to-head comparison, DraftKings emerges as the winner. Allow us to explain why:
The DraftKings Sportsbook mobile app is available for both iOS and Android devices. It's currently rated 4.7-out-of-5.0 stars (with over 5,000 ratings) on the App Store and 4.6-out-of-5.0 stars (with over 130,000 reviews) on the Google Play Store.
The DraftKings app boasts a sleek and intuitive interface, ensuring users can easily navigate through the multitude of sports markets. The app's homepage provides quick access to ongoing events, popular bets, and personalized recommendations, creating a tailored experience for each user.
One of DraftKings' strengths lies in its live betting features. The app offers a dynamic and real-time betting experience, allowing users to place wagers as events unfold. Live updates, in-game statistics, and constantly updated odds keep users engaged and informed, enhancing the excitement of live sports betting.
The DraftKings app's performance is also commendable, with quick loading times, smooth transitions between sections, and minimal downtime during peak hours. This reliability is crucial for users who want to place bets efficiently, especially in the fast-paced world of sports betting.
Meanwhile, bet365 Sportsbook also offers a mobile app for both iOS and Android devices. It has a current rating of 4.8-out-of-5.0 stars (with over 75,000 ratings) in the App Store and 4.6-out-of-5.0 stars (with roughly 10,000 reviews) in the Google Play Store.
The app provides a seamless and user-friendly experience, allowing bettors to access a wide range of sports markets and betting options right at their fingertips. With a clean and intuitive interface, navigating through different sports, live events, and in-play markets is effortless.
However, despite bet365 and DraftKings' similar app ratings, we believe bet365 has a few areas where it could use some improvement (based on our team's findings and recent feedback from everyday users).
For instance, there have been some reports of the app crashing or not working properly during peak times, causing bettors to miss out on important betting opportunities. Addressing these technical issues and optimizing the app's performance, especially during high-traffic periods, would significantly enhance the reliability of the platform.
Additionally, while the app's interface is generally user-friendly, some users have suggested the inclusion of more advanced customization options. Allowing bettors to personalize their homepage or prioritize specific sports and events could further tailor the app to individual preferences, improving overall user satisfaction.
Both DraftKings and bet365 Sportsbook offer plenty of secure banking options to facilitate smooth deposits and withdrawals.
However, in this comparison, we have to declare DraftKings the winner in terms of the variety of banking options accepted on the platform, while bet365 has a bit of an advantage when it comes to payout speed.
Let's dive into the specifics:
Banking Option | DraftKings | bet365 |
|---|---|---|
Debit/Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover) | ✅ | ✅ |
Online Banking (via Trustly) | ✅ | ✅ |
PayPal | ✅ | ✅ |
Venmo | ✅ | ❌ |
Apple Pay | ✅ | ❌ |
VIP Preferred (e-check) | ✅ | ❌ |
Wire Transfer | ✅ | ❌ |
Play+ Prepaid Card | ✅ | ❌ |
Gift Card | ✅* | ❌ |

Note: "*" represents banking options that are only available for deposits, not withdrawals.
As you can see, DraftKings Sportsbook offers a few extra options for deposits and withdrawals, including Apple Pay, Venmo, Play+ prepaid cards, and VIP Preferred (e-check). This gives users a greater degree of flexibility when managing their funds on the DraftKings platform.
However, if you're someone who likes to pay in cash, then bet365 might be the way to go. They currently allow you to make deposits in person using PayNearMe at participating retail locations!
Withdrawal Method | Processing Time on DraftKings | Processing Time on bet365 |
|---|---|---|
Online Banking (via Trustly) | Up to 5 Days | 1-5 Business Days |
VIP Preferred (e-check) | Up to 3 Days | N/A |
Wire Transfer | Up to 2 Days | N/A |

PayPal | Up to 2 Days | Within 24 Hours |
Venmo | Up to 2 Days | N/A |

Although DraftKings offers a greater number of withdrawal options, many users have actually found that bet365 Sportsbook is better in terms of payout speed, typically delivering winnings to its users in a shorter period of time.
However, it's important to note that the processing times included in the table above are rough estimates, and actual processing times may vary based on factors such as the user's location, the specific withdrawal method chosen, and any potential verification steps that still need to be completed.
This category is hands-down the easiest to judge, as DraftKings stands out with its stellar Dynasty Rewards Program, while bet365, as it currently stands, does not offer a customer rewards or loyalty program of any kind.
The Dynasty Rewards Program from DraftKings not only demonstrates a commitment to appreciating customer loyalty but also provides a versatile and engaging system. In this program, customers earn two different types of rewards points: Crowns and Tier Credits.
Crowns can be redeemed in the Dynasty Store for a variety of prizes, including free-play opportunities and DraftKings merchandise, allowing users to personalize their rewards based on their preferences.
Tier Credits, on the other hand, are instrumental in determining a user's Tier Status within the program. Progressing through the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Onyx Tiers, users unlock additional benefits as they ascend.
As of now, DraftKings takes a clear lead over bet365 Sportsbook in customer rewards and loyalty programs, setting a standard for personalized, rewarding, and multi-dimensional engagement in the online sports betting and gaming industry.
Finally, when it comes to customer service and support, both DraftKings and bet365 Sportsbook excel. They each provide plenty of different ways for users to get assistance with their questions and concerns, including email, phone, and social media platforms.
However, bet365 is the clear winner in this category due to its 24/7 live chat support, which offers users an immediate and convenient way to get assistance at any time. Bet365's live chat feature is known for its responsiveness and efficiency, allowing users to quickly resolve issues or get answers to their questions without unnecessary delays.
On the other hand, DraftKings has a chat option on their platform that, at first glance, appears to be the same. However, it does not pair you with a live agent and instead is simply an AI bot that guides you to frequently asked questions (FAQ) pages and gives you the option to submit a request that will receive a response via email within 4 hours.
After our deep dive and thorough evaluation of the sportsbooks, it's clear that DraftKings has the overall edge, thanks to its top-tier mobile app, diverse banking options, wide range of betting markets, and outstanding customer rewards program.
However, it's important to acknowledge that bet365 is rapidly gaining ground and has become a popular option in the online sports betting landscape. bet365 Sportsbook ultimately stands out with its extensive coverage of sports and leagues worldwide, incredible welcome offer, and amazing customer support.
That said, choosing between the two sports betting apps will ultimately come down to individual priorities and preferences. And we've found that the best way to decide is to sign up for both and explore the platforms firsthand.
By signing up for both DraftKings and bet365, you can take advantage of two different sign-up bonuses while also being able to shop around for the best odds when you go to place a bet. It's truly the best of both worlds, and we encourage you to make the most of this special opportunity!
