If you’ve played at social casinos before, you can probably just skip ahead to the next section. But if Scarlet Sands is one of the first ones you’ve come across, here’s a quick rundown of how things work.
You’re not betting real money here. Instead, Scarlet Sands uses two virtual currencies: Gold Coins and Super Coins (basically their version of Sweeps Coins).
Gold Coins are just for fun and let you play as much as you want. Super Coins, on the other hand, are the ones that matter if you’re hoping to win real prizes.
They fall under a sweepstakes model and can be exchanged for cash prizes or gift cards once you meet the requirements (more on those in a bit). And as a general rule of thumb, 1 Super Coin equals $1 in redeemable prizes.
One of the biggest things that separates one social casino from another is how generous they are with free SC. So I figured we’d cover the welcome bonuses and ongoing promotions early on in this Scarlet Sands review.
Here’s a quick look at what you can claim when you sign up and what you can expect after you start playing.
Scarlet Sands Casino | Bonus Information |
|---|---|
🎁 No Deposit Bonus: | 350,000 Gold Coins + 1.00 Super Coin |
💳 First Purchase Bonus: | 900K GC for $29.99 + 60 SC FREE |
🔑 Promo Code (for New Players): | |
📅 Daily Login Bonus: | Starts at 25,000 GC + 0.10 SC |
👑 VIP Rewards Program: | Yes ✅ (The Royal Club) |
🎉 Other Ongoing Promotions: | Weekly Coins Back, Level Up Rewards, Desert Dice, Scarlet Wheel, & More |
All new players can take advantage of the Scarlet Sands no-deposit bonus as soon as they sign up. Here's how it works:
When you create your account, they load 250,000 Gold Coins into your balance right away. Then, after you verify your email, you get another 100,000 Gold Coins plus 1 Sweeps Coin. So in total, you start with 350,000 GC and 1 SC without having to buy anything.
If you want some more coins to work with, Scarlet Sands has a pretty solid first-purchase bonus you can take advantage of. There are a few different deals available, but the one that gives you the most bang for your buck is the 900,000 GC package for $29.99.
It also comes with 60 free Super Coins as an added bonus. The regular price for a Gold Coin package of this size is $59.99, so you’re basically getting a 50% discount (or a 100% match in extra SC, depending on how you look at it).
Scarlet Sands also offers daily rewards for existing players, just like all the other top sweepstakes casinos.
Their promo is called the “Daily Blaze,” and it’s a progressive daily login bonus that increases as you build a streak of consecutive logins. Day 1 starts you off with 25,000 free Gold Coins and 0.10 free Super Coins, and if you make it all the way to Day 7, you’ll earn 10 bonus spins on a certain slot game.
Scarlet Sands Casino has a solid VIP program too. They call it the Royal Club, and it’s made up of eight tiers:
You earn XP as you play, and that’s what moves you up through the ranks. Each new tier comes with its own little set of VIP perks... things like Upgrade Rewards, exclusive promos, birthday gifts, and eventually a personal account manager once you get high enough.
If you want to buy Gold Coins at Scarlet Sands, it’s easy. You can use a debit or credit card, Apple Pay, or PayPal. Just choose the GC package you want, enter your banking info, and the coins show up right away.
Most bundles also come with around 1 bonus Sweeps Coin for every dollar you spend. Packages start at $4.99 and go up to $499.99, so there’s plenty of options to choose from.
For Super Coins, you only have two ways to redeem them: cash prizes or gift cards. Gift cards have the lower minimum at 25 SC ($25). Cash prizes start at 100 SC ($100). And there's a 1x wagering requirement, so your SC need to be played at least once before you can redeem them.
I’ve included a couple summary tables below so you can quickly see all the payment options and prize redemption choices available at Scarlet Sands.
Payment Methods 💳 | Minimum Purchase ⬇️ | Fees 💰 |
|---|---|---|
Visa | $4.99 | None |
Mastercard | $4.99 | None |
Apple Pay | $4.99 | None |
PayPal | $4.99 | None |
Prize Redemption Methods 🏆 | Minimum Needed 💵 | Payout Time ⏱️ |
|---|---|---|
Gift Card (via email) | 25.00 SC | 24-48 Hours |
Cash Prize (via bank transfer) | 100.00 SC | 2-7 Days |
*Note: At Scarlet Sands, you’ll need to make your first Gold Coin purchase before the “Redeem” tab unlocks and you can start redeeming prizes.
Next, let’s take a look at the Scarlet Sands game library. They have an impressive selection of around 1,000 slots from more than a dozen different software providers, plus there are over three dozen live casino games. Here's what to expect.
Scarlet Sands Casino | Game Information |
|---|---|
Slot Games: | 970+ |
Jackpot Slots: | 29 |
Live Dealer Games: | 38 |
Software Providers: | 16 (AvatarUX, Betsoft, BGaming, Booming Games, Evoplay, ICONIC21, JackTop, JILI Games, Mancala Gaming, N2, Netgame, Penguin King, Reel Riot, Slotopoia, Swintt, Tom Horn Gaming) |
Filtering Options: | All Games, New, Favorites, Top Games, Monthly TOP, Live Room, Hot, Bonus Combo, Jackpot, Hold'N'Link, Cascading Games, Bonus Buy, Wild Life |
Our Top Picks: | 1. Cai Shen's Palace: Hold 'N' Link |
Online slots are the main focus at Scarlet Sands, and there are a ton of options to pick from. The games are organized into different categories like Bonus Combo, Jackpot, Cascading Games, Hold'N'Link, and Bonus Buy.
There’s also a "New" section where you can see all the games most recently added to the site. And if you’re looking for something specific, you can always use the search bar or sort games by provider.
All of the slots come from reputable providers that our team here at ATS.io is familiar with. You can expect high-quality graphics, fun gameplay features, and clear rules. Most games also list their theoretical RTP in the paytable or info section, which is the type of transparency I love to see.
Scarlet Sands also has a "Jackpot Hub" where you can find all the info about progressive jackpots on the site.
Right now, Scarlet Sands has two jackpot types you can opt into on eligible games: Fire Balls Jackpot (0.10 SC opt-in) and Asian Fortune Jackpot (0.20 SC opt-in). Both give you a shot at four different tiers of jackpot prizes: Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand.
Scarlet Sands now includes a live dealer section as well. They’ve got live casino game options for blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker, Teen Patti, Andar Bahar, and more. It’s a good mix overall and should be enough for most players.
Scarlet Sands doesn’t offer a mobile app. So you’ll have to use the website (ScarletSands.com) if you’re playing on your phone or another mobile device.
For this review, I tested the Scarlet Sands mobile site on my iPhone, and it worked just fine. Pages loaded quickly, nothing froze up, and it was pretty easy to get around.
On mobile, the site has five tabs at the bottom: Games, Promotions, Wheel, Dice, and Menu.
I also tested Scarlet Sands on my MacBook, and it felt pretty similar to the mobile site. The layout is just a little different. On desktop, the menu sits on the left side of the page instead of along the bottom, and there’s more screen space, but everything works about the same.
Let me start by saying the answer is yes. Scarlet Sands is a legitimate social casino with sweepstakes elements. Our team at ATS.io looked into the platform to make sure it’s safe and reliable, and here’s what we found that supports that.

⭐ Trustpilot Rating: |
Scarlet Sands only accepts players in U.S. states that allow sweepstakes casinos. A few states have pushed back on these types of platforms in recent years, saying the sweepstakes model is too close to real online gambling. Because of that, Scarlet Sands doesn’t operate in those places anymore.
Right now, it’s available in 34 states. The states where you CAN'T play are:
Players must also be 18 or older (or the legal age of majority in their state, if higher) to make an account, play games, and redeem prizes at Scarlet Sands.
One downside with sweepstakes casinos like Scarlet Sands is that they aren’t licensed or regulated the same way real-money online casinos are. Since you’re not actually gambling on the site, there’s no state gaming license required and no U.S. regulatory body overseeing the platform and everything it does.
Scarlet Sands is owned and operated by UTech Solutions LLC, the same company behind sweepstakes casinos like JackpotRabbit, Mr.Goodwin, SweepShark, VegasWay, Playtana, and Sweepico.
Our team at ATS.io has already reviewed these platforms, and they’ve all checked out as legitimate. That gives Scarlet Sands some extra credibility, since their sister sites have mostly positive feedback from players and haven’t had any major issues with trust or payouts.
Scarlet Sands also includes a few responsible gaming tools, which is good to see if you’re wondering about safety.
You can turn on Reality Check reminders to keep track of your playtime, set a Purchase Limit if you want to control spending, use a Cool-Off period for a short break, or choose Self-Exclusion if you need a longer one.
They’re all easy to find in your account settings and give you a little more control over how you play.

❓ FAQ Page | Not offered |
There are really only two ways to contact the social casino's customer support team: live chat and email. Live chat is usually the faster option, so that’s what I tested out during my Scarlet Sands review.
At first, I was connected with a bot, but I was offered the option to switch to a real human almost right away. After a minute or two, I was connected with Amy, and she was able to answer all the questions I had.
The one thing I didn’t see, though, was an actual FAQ page. It would be nice to have somewhere to find basic info on your own without needing to contact support at all. Hopefully they’ll add that eventually because it’d make things a lot easier for quick questions.
If you’re thinking about trying Scarlet Sands, the sign-up process is pretty simple. Here’s basically how it went for me.
Go to ScarletSands.com on your phone or whatever device you’re using.
You can sign up with your Google account, Facebook account, or Apple ID. If you don’t want to use any of those, you can just type in your email and choose a new password instead. That's what I did.
They should send you an email right away. When you get it, click the link to verify your email address.
Once your account is verified, you'll receive an instant welcome bonus of 350,000 Gold Coins and 1.00 Sweeps Coin. It shows up automatically. You don't need to enter any Scarlet Sands promo codes or make any purchases.
You can start playing games right away. The only thing you’ll need to do later is the identity verification when you go to redeem Sweeps Coin winnings for the first time.
This step usually requires you to provide photo ID and proof of address (like a utility bill or bank statement), but you don’t have to worry about right now.
After you get a feel for what Scarlet Sands offers, you might want to see how it measures up against other social casinos and sweeps casinos out there.
The table below gives you a quick look at some of the key factors: no-deposit bonuses, daily rewards, prize redemption minimums, and a few other things that actually make a difference when you’re deciding where to play.

WOW Vegas | 250,000 WC + 5 SC | Starts at 1,500 WC + 0.30 SC | 100 SC | 25 SC | No ❌ | Yes ✅ |
That’s the end of my Scarlet Sands review, and by now you should have a decent feel for what the site offers.
There’s definitely a lot of things to like: a big library of slots, plenty of live dealer options, lots of ways to claim free coins on a consistent basis, and a live chat option for customer support if you ever need help.
But there's also room for improvement. I think having a dedicated mobile app would be convenient, and adding more specialty games (scratch cards, keno, crash games, fish games, all that) would give players more options to choose from.
And it’d be nice if they raised the cap on winnings from free play above just $25.
Even with those flaws, Scarlet Sands is still a solid platform overall and one of the top new social casinos to launch in the U.S. lately. It’s definitely worth checking out for yourself. I’d start with the free no-deposit bonus they offer so you can try it out and see what you think.
