The Super Bowl is the biggest day on the sports betting calendar and on the sports calendar as a whole in the United States. But what time is the Super Bowl? Here, we answer that question and plenty of other important questions about the biggest game of the year in football, so you don't miss the big game.
Super Bowl 60 will start at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 8, 2026 and will be broadcast on NBC. Fans can also stream the game through the Peacock app. Super Bowl 60 will take place in Santa Clara, featuring a halftime performance by Bad Bunny.
This start time has become customary for the Super Bowl, as it is accommodating to as many time zones as possible while still not ending too late on the East Coast. While the day after the Super Bowl is still not a national holiday, the ability for football fans in all time zones to get to sleep at a reasonable hour after the game is a key factor in that decision.
Super Bowl LX is being played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA, the home of the San Francisco 49ers. That venue will be an interesting one for this game, given that another NFC West team is taking place in this game. A direct rival of the 49ers will have the chance to win the Super Bowl in the Niners' home building, which would make winning the Super Bowl even sweeter.
The two teams playing in Super Bowl 60 are the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. The Patriots were the second seed in the AFC and did more than enough in their three AFC playoff games to win and advance to the Super Bowl. They had to go on the road in the AFC Championship Game and managed to get the win despite bad weather against the Denver Broncos.
The NFC champions are the Seattle Seahawks, who outlasted the Los Angeles Rams in an exciting NFC Championship Game. The Seahawks had the best defense in the NFL this season in terms of points allowed. But their offense is nothing to overlook either, as they have some of the best skill position weapons in the league, including wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba.
In addition to knowing the Super Bowl start time, it is vital to know how to watch the game as well. This year's game is airing on NBC on traditional television. For those who are going the streaming route instead, Peacock is the streaming service that NBC is tied with. There are also streaming services like Fubo that can be used to stream the game with a subscription.
