A non-conference showdown between ranked teams is set for Wednesday night as the Louisville Cardinals go to Fayetteville to face the Arkansas Razorbacks. This is one of the marquee matchups in the ACC/SEC Challenge this year. Louisville arrives unbeaten and full of confidence, while Arkansas will try to stay perfect at home and bounce back from a loss to Duke. Here, I've broken this game down from all angles and you can find my Louisville vs Arkansas prediction below.

Louisville vs Arkansas Odds
Spread | Moneyline | Total (O/U) |

Louisville -2.5 | Louisville -155 | Arkansas +130 | 165.5 points |
Key Storylines
- Louisville’s blazing offense: The Cardinals rank among the nation’s top teams in scoring at 96.7 points per game. Their last outing was a 104–47 blowout win over NJIT, where transfer guard Ryan Conwell exploded for 32 points and sharpshooter Isaac McKneely added 17 points. Louisville is shooting a ton of threes and playing with pace and they will hope that translates to another win over an SEC opponent.
- Arkansas fighting for legitimacy: The Razorbacks (5–2) are ranked in the top 25 and playing at home in a second straight test against a top 10 team. After falling 80–71 to a top 5 Duke Blue Devils squad in Chicago, the Razorbacks are motivated to prove they belong among the college basketball elite.
- Home-court boost for Arkansas: Bud Walton Arena provides a strong environment, and Arkansas enters trying to protect its house. The Razorbacks are 5-0 at home so far this season, though those wins have come largely against soft competition. But this is also the first true road game of the season for the Cardinals and they will have to prove that they can continue scoring at a high level without the crowd on their side.
Head-to-Head & Betting Trends
- The all-time series between these programs is tied 4–4. Their only previous meeting in Fayetteville was over two decades ago, a 1996 overtime win by Louisville.
- This will mark their first meeting since 2022, when Arkansas won 80–54.
- Louisville enters this game at 5–2–0 against the spread this season.
- Arkansas is 4–3 against the spread going into this game.
- The Cardinals have gone under the total in 4 of their first 7 games.
- The under has hit in 5 of Arkansas' first 7 games.
Louisville vs Arkansas Model Projection

Final Thoughts
This should be a tight game throughout between two teams that are eager to prove that they belong among the elites in college basketball. I am going to take Arkansas to get the win as a slight underdog on their home floor. The Razorbacks are tough as nails at home and we haven't seen Louisville get a win on the road yet this year. I'll take the Razorbacks to get a win that will keep them in the top 25 for another week.
