Underdog Sportsbook is the latest venture from the well-established Underdog Fantasy brand, marking an exciting evolution in the world of online sports betting. Known for its user-friendly fantasy sports contests, Underdog is now offering legal sports wagering, with its initial launch in North Carolina generating significant buzz. As someone who has spent years exploring the nuances of sportsbooks and fantasy platforms, I was eager to see how Underdog’s expertise in gamified sports would translate to traditional betting—and it didn’t disappoint.

With its roots in daily fantasy sports and a fresh perspective on sports wagering, Underdog Sportsbook has positioned itself as a strong contender in the competitive U.S. betting market. Read on to discover whether this platform is the right choice for your next bet.
You've probably heard of the Underdog Fantasy app, but did you know the same company now offers an online sportsbook? Underdog Sportsbook is currently live and accepting bets in North Carolina, and there's a lot that our team here at ATS.io likes about the platform.
First, the sports betting app is very beginner-friendly, with a clean and intuitive interface that makes it easy for new users to navigate.
Plus, if you're still learning how odds work, you'll be happy to find that Underdog simplifies things by displaying the potential payouts directly as a multiplier of the amount you'd like to wager (e.g., 2.00x instead of -100).
I'm also a big fan of the sportsbook's generous welcome offer for all new users, 24/7 customer support, and quick withdrawal times. So, if you're looking for an easy-to-use sports betting platform with plenty of great features, Underdog Sportsbook is definitely worth checking out.
However, if you live in a state where the Underdog sports betting app is not yet available or you're just curious about what other options exist, then we encourage you to check out our list of the best online sportsbooks in 2026, where you'll find tons of other great options to explore!

I had a chance to test out the sign-up offer at Underdog Sportsbook, and I am happy to report that it is 100% legitimate. After signing up and (unfortunately) losing my first bet, I received a 100% refund in bonus funds almost instantly!
When it comes to banking options and payment methods, Underdog Sportsbook has you covered with plenty of easy, safe, and secure choices. Here's a quick breakdown of everything you need to know about deposits and withdrawals on the app:
If you'd like to add funds to your Underdog account, you'll have three different options: online banking (via Trustly), debit/credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), and PayPal.
All deposits are processed instantly, so you can start betting right away without any delay. In addition, the Underdog sports betting app uses uses encryption technology to ensure the security and confidentiality of your financial information.
On the other hand, when you're ready to cash out your winnings at Underdog Sportsbook, you'll have two different choices: PayPal or Interchecks.
All withdrawals are free, meaning no additional fees will be deducted from your winnings, and you can expect the funds to be delivered within 24-48 hours of your initial withdrawal request.
Unlike its DFS counterpart, Underdog Sportsbook is only accessible via mobile devices. In other words, you won't be able to place bets on your desktop or laptop computer.
However, for this review, I had a chance to test the Underdog sports betting app out on my iPhone, and I was very impressed with its user-friendly design and intuitive layout!
The app features three main tabs at the bottom of the screen: "Home," "Your Bets," and "Account." The "Home" tab provides easy access to all available betting markets, neatly sorted by sport or league, with daily promotions and upcoming events also listed at the top of the page.
The "Your Bets" tab conveniently organizes all settled and ongoing wagers, while the "Account" tab offers options for customer support, responsible gaming tools, and other account management features.
Overall, the Underdog Sportsbook app delivers an exceptional mobile betting experience, earning a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 from our team here at ATS.io!

Underdog Sportsbook offers a solid selection of betting markets across a wide range of sports and leagues. However, the options are a bit underwhelming when you compare them to those offered by DraftKings, FanDuel, and other leading U.S. sports betting apps.
Here's a quick breakdown of everything you need to know:
Sport | Leagues |
🏀 Basketball | NBA, NCAAB |
🏈 Football | NFL, NCAAF |
⚾ Baseball | MLB |
🏒 Hockey | NHL |
As you can see in the table above, Underdog Sportsbook currently only accepts wagers on the top 5 or 6 most popular American sports and leagues, such as the NBA, NFL, college basketball/football, and a few others.
You won't find betting markets for the MLS or international soccer leagues, MMA/boxing, motorsports, golf, tennis, or other emerging sports. However, it's worth noting that we expect more options to become available as the sportsbook continues to expand its offerings and attract a wider audience.
When it comes to the different types of bets offered at Underdog Sportsbook, they do a pretty good job of covering their bases. You can choose between moneylines, point spreads, parlays, and all kinds of player props.
For example, in an NBA game alone, you can choose between the basics like points, rebounds, and assists, or dive into more specific player prop bets like first scorer or whether a player will finish with a double-double or triple-double.
That said, I was a bit disappointed to find that Underdog does not currently let you place teaser bets. And it's also pretty clear that they're lacking when it comes to game props, alternate lines, and several other popular types of bets.
Safety, security, and fairness are a few of the most important factors to consider when choosing a gambling site or sports betting app. These aspects ensure that your personal information is protected, transactions are secure, and the betting platform operates with integrity.
Fortunately, Underdog Sportsbook excels in these crucial aspects and has earned a perfect 5/5 rating from me and my team. Allow us to explain why:
Yes! Underdog Sportsbook is a legitimate sports betting app that offers real-money wagering on sporting events. The platform operates under the oversight of the North Carolina State Lottery Commission and holds the necessary licenses to provide its services legally.
In addition, it's worth noting that the Underdog sports betting app prioritizes the safety and security of its users.
The platform employs robust encryption technology to protect sensitive data, such as personal information and financial transactions. In addition, stringent security protocols are in place to prevent unauthorized access to user accounts and ensure a secure betting environment.
Underdog Sportsbook is owned by Underdog Sports Wagering, LLC, which is which is a subsidiary of Underdog Fantasy, Inc. The parent company, Underdog Fantasy, was founded by Jeremy Levine, Brandon Stakenborg, and Trevor John in March 2020, and it is based in New York City.
Underdog Fantasy, Inc. initially gained traction in the daily fantasy sports (DFS) market before expanding into sports betting with the launch of Underdog Sportsbook in March 2024.
Underdog Sportsbook is currently only legal and accessible in the state of North Carolina. Anyone who is 21 years or older and physically located in the Tarheel State is allowed to sign up and start placing wagers on the app.
However, it's also worth noting that the Underdog Fantasy is currently available in 40 of the 50 U.S. states. This includes all but the following:
You may also sign up and enter contests on Underdog Fantasy from anywhere in Canada, except Ontario.
When it comes to customer service, Underdog Sportsbook excels with its friendly and helpful support team. You can reach out for assistance anytime via live chat or email, and their team is available 24/7!
In my own experience testing the live chat option, I received a response in about 2-3 minutes, which was very impressive. The support staff was very knowledgeable and able to answer all questions to my satisfaction.
Additionally, the Underdog sports betting app provides a comprehensive help center with FAQ articles covering a wide range of topics, such as the sign-up process, account verification, deposits, withdrawals, bonuses, house rules, and more!
Now that you've learned all about Underdog Sportsbook, are you wondering about how it stacks up against the competition? Well, let's find out!
Here's a quick breakdown of how the platform compares to some of the most popular online sportsbooks in the United States today:
DraftKings is one of the biggest names in the American gaming industry, and they offer a comprehensive sports betting platform. While both DraftKings and Underdog are great choices for North Carolina sportsbooks, DraftKings has a few key advantages.
First, DraftKings offers a much larger selection of betting options, especially when it comes to alternate lines. In addition, DraftKings Sportsbook has an edge in terms of their ongoing bonuses for everyday bettors, which include no-sweat bets, odds boosts, same-game parlay promotions, and more!
FanDuel is another top option for online sports betting in the United States, and they are known for their industry-leading mobile app, which provides a seamless and user-friendly betting experience.
In addition, FanDuel Sportsbook takes the lead over Underdog by offering betting markets for a larger number of sports and leagues taking place across the globe, providing bettors with a wider range of options to choose from.
While Underdog Sportsbook offers its own strengths, such as a generous welcome offer and solid customer support, FanDuel's mobile app and extensive betting markets give it a competitive edge over Underdog and most other online sportsbooks in the U.S.
Lastly, Caesars Sportsbook holds an advantage over most sports betting apps with its top-tier customer rewards program and fantastic live betting experience, which provide users with exclusive perks and an immersive way to bet on games as they unfold in real time.
Meanwhile, Underdog Sportsbook stands out as a great option for beginners, offering a user-friendly platform with straightforward betting options and helpful features tailored to newcomers.
Since both platforms have their own unique strengths, the choice will ultimately come down to what you, in particular, are looking for. Fortunately, it seems pretty clear that you can't go wrong with either option!

A beginner-friendly mobile app, a generous welcome offer for all new customers, fast withdrawal times, and 24/7 customer support via live chat are just a few of the many reasons why you may want to give the Underdog sports betting app a try!
