Best Colorado Sportsbooks & Betting Apps for 2026

Colorado currently has 13 licensed online sportsbooks operating statewide, making it one of the more active sports betting markets in the U.S. With so many legal options available, not every sportsbook will be the right fit for every bettor.

The sportsbooks highlighted below represent some of the most widely used betting apps in Colorado and are previewed in greater detail.

bet365 sportsbook logo

bet365 Sportsbook

bet365 launched in Colorado in September 2022 and has since become a well-established option in the state’s online sports betting market. The sportsbook operates under Hillside (Colorado) LLC and is backed by bet365’s long-standing international presence, which includes a broad range of sports and betting markets. In Colorado, bet365 also maintains partnerships that support its local market access and brand visibility.

The bet365 app is known for its extensive sports coverage, live betting functionality, and features such as early payout options and in-play wagering tools. Colorado users have access to both major U.S. leagues and a wide selection of international markets, making the platform a practical option for bettors who value market depth and real-time betting features. Overall, bet365 offers a stable and comprehensive sportsbook experience for users in the Centennial State.

fanduel sportsbook logo

FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel operates as a licensed online sportsbook in Colorado and has maintained a presence in the state since the launch of legal sports betting. While FanDuel offers betting across a wide range of sports, its platform is especially geared toward major U.S. leagues, where it typically provides a larger selection of same-game parlay combinations and player-level markets than many competitors.

The mobile app is designed for quick navigation between markets, which can be useful when building multi-leg bets or wagering in-play. FanDuel is available on both iOS and Android devices and, in addition to its online offering, also maintains a limited retail presence through casino partnerships in Black Hawk. Overall, the platform tends to suit Colorado bettors who focus primarily on U.S. sports and parlay-based betting.

betmgm Sportsbook

BetMGM Sportsbook

BetMGM has operated in Colorado since the launch of legal sports betting in 2020 and is one of the longer-running sportsbooks in the state. The app is available statewide and is backed by MGM Resorts through its partnership with Midnight Rose Casino in Cripple Creek.

Rather than focusing heavily on custom or novelty bet builders, BetMGM tends to offer a wide slate of standard betting markets across major U.S. sports, with lines posted early and kept available throughout the betting cycle.

The mobile app is available on both iOS and Android and generally appeals to bettors who prefer a more traditional sportsbook layout and straightforward wagering options.

caesars sportsbook

Caesars Sportsbook

Caesars Sportsbook has been part of Colorado’s sports betting market since its transition from William Hill in 2021. For many bettors in the state, Caesars feels like a continuation rather than a brand-new platform, particularly for those who were already familiar with William Hill’s sportsbook before the rebrand.

The Caesars Sportsbook app keeps a relatively traditional layout and betting flow, which can make it easier to navigate for users who prefer a straightforward approach to wagering. Its connection to the Caesars Rewards program is a notable part of the experience, especially for bettors who also visit Caesars casinos or properties.

Overall, Caesars tends to appeal to users who value familiarity and a casino-linked rewards ecosystem over newer or more feature-heavy betting apps.

draftkings sportsbook app logo

DraftKings Sportsbook

DraftKings Sportsbook has operated in Colorado since the launch of legal sports betting in 2020 and is available statewide through its mobile app. The platform’s background in daily fantasy sports is still reflected in how DraftKings approaches sports betting, particularly in the level of control and customization it offers when browsing and building bets.

DraftKings provides a deep selection of betting markets across major sports, with detailed filters, alternate lines, and player-level options that allow users to fine-tune wagers rather than rely on preset bet formats. The app is designed to let bettors drill down into specific markets quickly, which tends to appeal to users who like comparing lines, adjusting risk, and exploring less common betting options within a single game.

How Colorado Sports Betting Apps Are Evaluated

All sportsbooks referenced on this page are legally licensed to operate in Colorado. Comparisons are intended to highlight practical differences between platforms rather than promote any single operator.

Sports betting apps are reviewed based on how they perform in everyday use for Colorado bettors. Key considerations include:

  • App usability and ease of navigation
  • Organization and depth of betting markets
  • Odds presentation and line availability
  • In-play betting performance
  • Deposit and withdrawal experience
  • Overall platform reliability

Rankings and comparisons are based on these practical factors, not on promotional claims or advertising partnerships.

How to Register for an Online Sportsbook in Colorado

If you’ve never signed up for a sportsbook in Colorado before, the process is fairly straightforward and similar across most apps.

1. Pick a Colorado Sportsbook

Start by choosing a sportsbook that’s licensed to operate in Colorado. While the core betting experience is similar across platforms, differences usually come down to app layout, available markets, payment methods, and how Colorado sportsbook bonuses are handled.

2. Create Your Account

Once you’ve picked a sportsbook, click “Join” or “Register” and fill out the sign-up form. You’ll be asked for basic personal details so the sportsbook can verify your identity and confirm you’re eligible to bet in Colorado. Using accurate information upfront helps avoid issues later on.

3. Add Funds

After your account is approved, you’ll need to add funds before placing a bet. Most sportsbooks accept common options like debit cards, online banking, and some digital wallets, though the exact methods can vary by app.

4. Place a Bet

With funds in your account, you can browse sports and betting markets and place a wager. Depending on the sportsbook, you’ll usually be able to bet before games start or while events are already in progress.

Is Sports Betting Legal in Colorado?

Yes, sports betting is legal in Colorado. The state launched its regulated sports betting market on May 1, 2020, following voter approval of Proposition DD in November 2019. The measure authorized both online and retail sports betting through licensed casinos operating in the state.

Sports betting in Colorado is regulated by the Colorado Division of Gaming, which oversees licensing, compliance, and consumer protections for approved operators. Tax revenue generated from sports betting is allocated to state water projects, as outlined under Proposition DD.

Retail Sportsbooks in Colorado

Retail sports betting is live in Colorado, with bettors having a number of options across the state. As in other states, many of these are at established casinos that have partnered with sportsbooks from across the country with more than a dozen currently open.

There are some other options that will open in the future that promise unique sports betting experiences. Here are some of the best in-person sports betting locations in Colorado:

Mardi Gras Casino

  • Location: 300 Main St, Black Hawk, CO 80422
  • Retail Sportsbook: DraftKings Sportsbook
  • Other Features: Slots, table games

Main Street in Black Hawk has a whole lot of casinos and almost every one of them has a retail sportsbook on hand. At the top of the list is the Mardi Gras Casino, which has a retail sportsbook operated by DraftKings on hand.

The casino itself has more than 650 gaming terminals on hand for people to feed during halftime. It also has a variety of table games, as well as a buffet for those looking to dig in while they take in the games.

Lady Luck Casino

  • Location: 340 Main St, Black Hawk, CO 80422
  • Retail Sportsbook: Caesars Sportsbook
  • Other Features: Slots

Caesars Entertainment operates a load of casinos and resorts across the United States and they have two in Black Hawk. Naturally, both of these casinos offer Colorado sports bettors in-person access to Caesars Sportsbook.

These come in the form of sports betting kiosks at the casino. It also has more than 400 slot machines, as well as video poker terminals.

Horseshoe Black Hawk Casino

  • Location: 401 Main St, Black Hawk, CO 80422
  • Retail Sportsbook: Caesars Sportsbook
  • Other Features: Slots, table games, poker

Caesars’ larger casino is the Horseshoe Black Hawk Casino. The casino was recently given the Horseshoe Casino branding after being previously known as the Isle Casino Hotel Black Hawk.

As with the Lady Luck Casino, Horseshoe Black Hawk Casino has a number of sports betting kiosks powered by Caesars Sportsbook. It has a much larger gaming area, with 42,000 square feet of table games, poker tables, and 900 slot machines.

The Lodge Casino

  • Location: 240 Main St, Black Hawk, CO 80422
  • Retail Sportsbook: SuperBook
  • Other Features: Slots, table games

The list of retail sportsbooks on Main Street in Black Hawk, Colorado just keeps going. The Lodge Casino has over 975 slot machines and 17 table games to give people the primary casino experience.

For the sports bettors in Colorado, there is also a retail sportsbook on the second floor of the casino. The SuperBook-operated sports betting operation allows bettors to wager on their favorite teams. Beyond that, the Lodge Casino has a number of restaurants and a hotel for anyone that wants to make a trip of it.

Double Eagle Hotel and Casino

  • Location: 442 E Bennett Ave, Cripple Creek, CO 80813
  • Retail Sportsbook: PointsBet
  • Other Features: Slots

Black Hawk and Cripple Creek have a monopoly on retail sports betting in Colorado, with the two cities having all the retail sports books in the state at the moment. The Double Eagle Hotel and Casino is one of the best options for those in the city that want to make some in-person sports bets.

The casino has more than 400 slot machines and video poker machines that cater to any budget. It also has a retail sportsbook on the premises powered by PointsBet. PointsBet has a significant presence in the state thanks to its offices in Denver, with Colorado natives able to place in-person wagers in this location.

Mile High Stadium

  • Location: 1701 Bryant St, Denver, CO 80204
  • Retail Sportsbook: Betfred, BetMGM
  • Other Features: Denver Broncos football

The Denver Broncos franchise was one of the first in the NFL to fully embrace sports betting. Part of that was having a physical presence around its stadium, with Mile High Stadium having multiple pop-up shops operated by the Broncos’ sportsbook partners.

Betfred and BetMGM both made appearances outside the stadium with betting lounges. It’s unknown whether these will be a permanent fixture of the stadium moving forward or if a dedicated facility will be opened down the line.

What Sports Can You Bet on in Colorado?

Colorado sports bettors have access to all the major sports options they could hope for. This ranges from the big four sports leagues in the United States, college sports, most major combat sports promotions, and a variety of niche sports.

The one big caveat is that Colorado bars prop bets on collegiate sports, meaning NCAA fans will need to stick to moneyline betting when they’re looking for action on Colorado and Colorado State games. Here are some of the sports available in Colorado:

  • NFL
  • NCAA Football
  • NBA
  • NCAA Basketball
  • MLB
  • NHL
  • MMA
  • Boxing
  • Soccer
  • Golf
  • Tennis
  • Motorsports
  • Darts
  • Lacrosse
  • Esports

Common Bet Types on Colorado Sportsbooks

Moneyline

Moneyline betting is the easiest and simplest way to bet on sports in Colorado. While there are a number of different facets of a contest to bet on, moneylines are just a matter of picking the winner of a contest. This is a no-fuss way to approach sports betting and the best option for new bettors.

Spread

Betting on the spread is similar to a moneyline bet, but there’s a twist. The favorite to win the game is given a handicap in the form of a certain margin of victory they need to win by. This keeps things exciting until the end of the game and lets you put your crystal ball prediction abilities to greater use.

Live betting

Live betting starts once the game clock starts. This style of betting allows sports fans to bet on the action of an ongoing game. Will one team hold onto their lead? Or will the other make a comeback? Live betting lets you make your prediction.

Over/Unders

Over/Unders hone in on one specific stat of the game. This is most often points scored by one team or both teams, but it can take different forms based on the sport. How many passing yards will a quarterback throw? How many rounds will a boxing match last? All of these and many others can be wagered on with over/unders.

Prop bets

Prop bets include a whole lot of unique options that extend far beyond just the final outcome of a game. Different sports have different standard prop options, some of which revolve around an entire team or specific player. They don’t even necessarily focus in on the actual contest and can instead involve people being spotted in the crowd or even aliens invading during a game.

Parlays

Parlays are a high-risk, high-reward option in sports betting. These bets group together multiple wagers and escalate the odds. The catch is that every one of the bets needs to hit to have a parlay bet pay off.

Popular Colorado Sports Teams

Denver Broncos

Colorado’s biggest and most popular sports team is the Denver Broncos. The club was formed in 1960 and has won three Super Bowls. Those Super Bowls came from teams led by two of the most successful quarterbacks in modern NFL history; Peyton Manning and John Elway.

The franchise enjoyed contendership status with Gary Kubiak as the head coach, but fell off hard following his departer after the 2016 season. The team has been trying to wheel and deal its way back to the top both with blockbuster trades and changes with its ownership group.

Colorado Rockies

Denver had a strong appetite for baseball early in the 20th century, but Major League Baseball didn’t fully commit to Colorado until 1993 with the Colorado Rockies. The team’s high point thus far has been a World Series berth in 2007, where it swept divisional rival Arizona Diamondbacks to reach the World Series. The team lost to the Boston Red Sox in the World Series.

The team has been struggling in recent seasons to work around its divisional rivals based out of California. The Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants have been very strong of late, making a playoff berth for Colorado a huge challenge.

Colorado Avalanche

Colorado hockey fans were lucky enough to have a turnkey operation as their first NHL franchise. The Quebec Nordiques were a serious contender when the franchise packed its bags and left Quebec City. The team rebranded to the Colorado Avalanche and brought the Stanley Cup to Denver in short order.

That success wasn’t just momentary, either. The team has been generally strong throughout its history and is a force today. The team took home the Stanley Cup once again at the end of the 2021-2022 season, and are positioned for success moving forward.

Denver Nuggets

Denver’s basketball history was up and down for decades, with the team bouncing in and out of playoff contention. That changed in 2019 when Nikola Jokić helped to transform the Nuggets into a regular contender in the NBA’s Western Conference.

The team was a fixture of the playoffs in the years that followed, placing in the top two of its division each year. An NBA Championship trophy came during the Jokic era and the Nuggets will look to add to their trophy case in the years to come.

Colorado Buffaloes

The University of Colorado Boulder is one of the state’s most visible sports teams courtesy of its presence in the Big-12 conference, and has more than 120 years of history at this point. For sports betting purposes, the school’s go-to options are its football and basketball programs. The University of Colorado Boulder has strong basketball programs for both men and women, with recent NCAA Tournament appearances for both. The Buffaloes’ football heyday came in the late 1980s and early 1990s, though the team gets plenty of attention under Deion Sanders.

Colorado State Rams

The University of Colorado Boulder isn’t the only large NCAA program Colorado sports fans have in their backyard. Colorado State University and the Colorado State Rams represent the state in the Mountain West Conference, and have more than 100 years of history themselves.

Colorado State University has 15 varsity teams, and as with the Colorado Buffaloes, the team’s legacy isn’t quite matched by its recent outings. Its men’s basketball team took on renewed relevance in 2022 with an NCAA Tournament appearance, while its women’s basketball team has been able to pop into and out of contention at the conference level. The school hired Jay Norvell ahead of the 2022 season to reset its football program, with mixed results.

Air Force Falcons

The United States armed forces have several prominent NCAA teams competing in Division I. Alongside the Navy in Maryland and the Army in New York, the Air Force Falcons hold things down in Colorado.

The team has a long history in NCAA football, but isn’t known for churning out pros in the way that other programs do. Air Force’s rivalries with its fellow armed forces schools still manage to capture the country’s attention when they cross paths.

Alongside the big four American professional sports leagues and NCAA Division I, Colorado has a number of teams competing in other leagues and collegiate divisions. Here are some other Colorado sports teams:

  • Denver Pioneers
  • Northern Colorado Bears
  • Colorado Rapids
  • Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC
  • Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC
  • Adams State Grizzlies
  • Colorado Mesa Mavericks
  • Colorado Mines Orediggers
  • CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves
