** As of December 15, 2021 888 Sports is no longer operational and has become SI Sportsbook, available to players in Colorado, New Jersey, Michigan and Virginia **
The pairing of European sports betting operators and United States companies has been a popular thing since PASPA was overturned in May 2018. 888sport is another one of these marriages made in legalized sports betting heaven. Caesars Entertainment hooked up with the European betting giant, which is licensed and registered on the London Stock Exchange as 888 Holdings to bring 888sport to the state of New Jersey.
Fully licensed and regulated in the Garden State, 888sport calls Caesars Atlantic City its home base, but is part of the online sports betting movement in New Jersey. 888 was actually one of the newer kids on the block across the pond that started in 2008 and has provided a highly competitive sportsbook experience ever since.
Like many industry giants, 888 was ready and raring to go when PASPA was overturned and the state of New Jersey was open for legalized sports betting. Millions of players play with 888 sport in Europe and that number is sure to continue to grow in the US because this is a book that continually strives for excellence across the board.
Right now, online wagering is restricted to the state of New Jersey through 888sport, but as the industry expands, so, too, will the number of options for those that want to use this particular website and app. If you want to know how to bet on sports in New York, well, you can sign up for 888sport, get within the borders of New Jersey, and place your bets that way. The same can be said for states like Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, and other adjacent locales.
Among the perks afforded to 888sport clients are a live casino and a booming poker room that can enhance the online gambling experience. This is a sportsbook that has it all!
There are a lot of sports out there. 888 knows that and has the ability to offer just about all of them. NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, college football, and college basketball are the big ones in the United States, but with its roots in Europe, golf, tennis, Formula 1, rugby, snooker, darts, and, of course, soccer are all prominently displayed on the site.
You won’t find many sportsbook apps with more options for the English Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, La Liga, Ligue 1, and all of the other soccer matches on a daily and weekly basis.
Live betting is all the rage these days and 888 offers lots of in-game wagering for its clients and even has news features, stats, and instant odds updates to not only enhance the experience, but give you the best chance at winning.
One downside to 888sport is that there are just so many options that the menu can be challenging to navigate on both desktop/laptop and mobile. It will take some getting used to for those that are unfamiliar with the app and those precious minutes and seconds can sometimes mean the loss of line value. You’ll have to know what you’re looking for and exactly where to get it with 888sport. If you do that, you’ll be golden.
In order to use 888sport, you’ll have to sign up and fund a bankroll. The sign-up process is easy, like it is for most of the New Jersey sports betting apps. User name, password, personal information, and social. An email will then be sent to activate your account. If you live in the state of New Jersey, you can accept the Deposit Bonus (more on that in a minute). If you do not, you can still access the app and see the betting odds and the options, but you cannot accept the sign-up bonus unless you are located in the state of New Jersey when you download and access.
If you live near Atlantic City, or are going to be in the area, you can complete your financial transactions at the cage at Caesars Atlantic City. If you are not, 888sport accepts the industry standard deposit methods of Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Neteller, wire and bank transfers, and more.
Additional documentation is often required for a payout, but you can usually get your winnings via the same method you used to deposit. For most in New Jersey, the preferred method has been PayPal.
Weekly challenges are one of the coolest elements of the 888sportsbook. If you meet these challenges, you’ll receive bonus bets. They do feature a rollover, so keep that in mind, but they are another way of doing some betting while getting a little bit of cash back for losses or some extra jangle in your virtual pocket for wins.
Like most places, 888 offers an initial deposit bonus and also a welcome bonus. Just for signing up, you’ll get a $10 no-deposit bonus that must be used within five days. A generous welcome bonus is also available.
There are Monday Back Mondays, MLB bonus bets, and Soccer Parlay Promotions regularly at 888sport as well.
This is a sportsbook that gets it. In 10 short years, this is a sportsbook that has developed a user base that wagers millions of dollars annually and provides a safe and legal environment for making your bets on sports of all sorts. The live betting interface is perfect for those that want to bet while they watch the game and has stats, breaking news, and additional information that actually help the player. What other sportsbook is willing to do that?
