Updated February 10, 2026
The alpine skiing men’s super‑G at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan‑Cortina is packed with world champions and World Cup stars ready to battle for gold on the Stelvio Course. Recent World Cup results and Olympic form suggest that the podium will be filled with athletes who have been posting strong results in super‑G and downhill races throughout the 2025‑26 season. With elite skiers from Switzerland, Austria, and Italy all posing threats, you will find my alpine skiing men's super G prediction right here.
Below are the latest available odds for the gold medal in the men’s super‑G at the Milano‑Cortina 2026 Olympics from major betting markets.
One of the biggest stories in the men’s super‑G is the dominance of Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt. Odermatt enters these Olympics as the favorite in almost every major alpine event thanks to an extraordinary season that includes multiple World Cup victories in speed events and the 2025 World Championship title in super‑G. His recent back‑to‑back wins at prestigious World Cup venues such as Kitzbühel signal peak form and confidence just days before the super‑G Olympic race.
However, Odermatt is far from unchallenged. His Swiss teammate Franjo von Allmen, who won gold in the downhill at these Olympics, has also posted consistent results on the World Cup circuit this season. Italy’s Giovanni Franzoni is another skier to watch. The host nation athlete claimed his first World Cup victory in super‑G earlier this season, boosting his confidence and making him a fan favorite on home soil. Franzoni’s form and the energy of the Italian crowd make him a serious contender for Olympic hardware.
Austria brings its own pedigree to the start list with seasoned speed skiers such as Vincent Kriechmayr and Dominik Paris. Both have shown the ability to contend for podiums in major events, and if conditions favor their aggressive style of skiing, they could be in the medal hunt. Other challengers who might sneak into the top positions include Raphael Haaser and Alexis Monney, each with capable results this season and respectable odds to surprise on race day.
Marco Odermatt (SUI) – The current favorite in most betting markets, Odermatt comes into this race with a remarkable mix of speed, precision, and major championship experience. His World Cup victories during the season establish him as the man to beat, and his ability to handle pressure in big events sets him apart from the field.
Franjo von Allmen (SUI) – Though slightly behind Odermatt in odds, von Allmen has shown he can produce top finishes, including recent wins and strong podium results. His downhill gold at the Olympics hints that he is comfortable with high speeds and challenging courses, which bodes well for super‑G success.
Giovanni Franzoni (ITA) – Racing on home snow, Franzoni has already tasted victory in World Cup super‑G competition this season. The emotional boost from performing in front of a passionate Italian crowd cannot be overstated, and bookmakers have taken notice by pricing him as a serious medal contender.
Vincent Kriechmayr (AUT) – Austria’s most experienced speed skier in this group, Kriechmayr has the tactical nous to save mistakes and post fast times. If the field falters, his consistency could pay dividends.
Dominik Paris (ITA) – Another Italian in the mix with respectable odds, Paris brings veteran presence and downhill strength that could transfer well to super‑G. He may not be the favorite, but his experience makes him a dark horse for a podium finish.
Pick: Marco Odermatt to win gold ATS PRO
Confidence: 4 out of 5
When assessing the men’s super‑G field at these Olympics, it is evident that several athletes could come away with the gold. Switzerland has two formidable stars, Italy has rising talent, and Austria has seasoned veterans ready to capitalize if the conditions are right. Nevertheless, Odermatt’s recent results and proven track record in both World Cup and championship settings give him an edge that few others can match on race day. I will take the favorite to get the gold medal for Switzerland.
