Inter Milan return to Serie A action against Udinese on Monday with a perfect league record intact. Cristian Chivu’s side have won all three domestic matches, scoring eight goals, and their 3-2 comeback against Napoli was arguably their strongest attacking performance yet. They followed that with a 2-1 Champions League defeat at Real Madrid, but still produced 21 shots and 1.84 xG at the Bernabéu.
The market is understandably giving Inter plenty of respect. Polymarket currently prices an Inter win at 78¢, but paying that much for the outright result is difficult to justify when the more aggressive Inter -1.5 spread is available at 56¢. With Udinese arriving short-handed and Inter consistently generating chances, backing the champions to win by at least two goals looks like the better way to express an Inter position.
ATS Expert Verdict

“I don’t love paying such a high price on Inter just to win. If I’m taking an Inter position here, I’d rather accept the extra risk and go with the -1.5 spread, especially given how many chances they’ve been creating lately.”
Inter Are Creating Huge Shot Volume
Inter have generated 29+ shots in each of their last two Serie A matches, giving them multiple routes to a two-goal win.
Udinese Arrive Short-Handed
Oumar Solet’s absence weakens an Udinese defense that already allowed Lazio 19 attempts and 1.92 xG in its last league match.
The Inter Win Is Too Expensive
Inter at around 78¢ offers little room for error. Moving to the -1.5 spread cuts the entry price substantially while still backing the stronger side.

Inter should control possession and create most of the chances, while Udinese’s defensive absences increase the possibility of the game getting away from them. The main risk is a narrow Inter win — especially if Udinese stay compact or grab a goal — but at 56¢, the spread offers a much more attractive way to back Inter than paying close to 80¢ on the moneyline.
Prediction: Inter Milan -1.5 at 56¢ on Polymarket
Inter’s 78¢ moneyline requires the home side simply to win, but it also means paying a price equivalent to a 78% implied probability. The broader market is slightly less bullish: one comparison of available sportsbook prices produced a de-margined Inter win probability of approximately 73%.
That makes the spread more appealing. Inter -1.5 at 56¢ requires a two-goal victory, but cuts the entry price by more than 20 cents. This is the type of matchup where accepting the additional risk makes sense because Inter have created enough chances to separate from opponents rather than merely protect narrow leads.
Inter’s 1-0 win at Cagliari looks modest on paper. The underlying performance was anything but.
Chivu’s team attempted 31 shots and generated 3.93 xG, while allowing Cagliari only 0.46. Finishing was the only reason that match did not become a comfortable multi-goal victory.
Against Napoli, the attacking pressure finally translated into goals. Inter had 29 attempts, 56 touches inside the opposition box and approximately 3.86 xG in a 3-2 victory. Even against Real Madrid, they managed 21 attempts and seven on target.
That volume matters for the -1.5 spread. Inter do not need to rely on unusually efficient finishing to create a path toward two or three goals.
Udinese were competitive for long stretches against Lazio last Monday, even taking a 1-0 lead, but eventually lost 2-1 after conceding twice in the final 15 minutes. Lazio finished with 19 attempts and 1.92 xG.
More concerning is what happened around that game.
Starting center-back Oumar Solet suffered a muscle injury and has been ruled out for approximately two weeks, while midfielder Jakub Piotrowski is unavailable after being diagnosed with a benign cardiac arrhythmia. Nicolò Zaniolo and defender Matteo Palma are also recovering from muscular injuries.
Losing Solet in particular makes this a difficult time to visit San Siro. Udinese already struggled once Lazio increased the pressure; Inter can maintain that pressure with considerably more attacking depth.
Udinese have scored five times through three league games, including three away to Monza. That gives the visitors enough attacking threat to make Inter -1.5 uncomfortable.
But the Monza performance was not as dominant as the 3-2 score suggests. Udinese generated only 1.07 xG compared with Monza’s 1.77, converting three times from 12 attempts.
There is enough here to respect Udinese going forward, particularly through Keinan Davis and the supporting runners around him. There is less evidence that they can consistently create at that level against Inter.
Federico Dimarco missed the Real Madrid game after suffering a knee sprain against Napoli and has since been listed as back in training. His availability remains worth monitoring because Inter’s left side is an important source of progression and chance creation.
Carlos Augusto, however, offers a strong replacement and scored Inter’s goal at the Bernabéu. The drop-off is not large enough to move me back toward the expensive moneyline.
For this trade to cash, Inter need their territorial dominance to turn into goals earlier than it did at Cagliari. The biggest risk is an Udinese side that stays compact, survives the opening hour and turns the match into a one-goal grind. An Udinese goal would also leave very little margin for error.
But Inter have produced 29 or more shots in each of their last two Serie A games, while Udinese now travel without Solet, Piotrowski and Zaniolo. At 78¢, the Inter moneyline already asks traders to pay for most of the home side’s superiority. At 56¢, Inter -1.5 gives that same matchup a much more appealing risk-reward profile.
Prediction: Inter Milan 3-1 Udinese
