Portugal head to the World Cup with high expectations and high drama after Ronaldo conducted an explosive interview with Piers Morgan to force his exit at United. The Portuguese squad insist it won’t be a distraction but critics wonder if Ronaldo will do the same if he isn’t treated as the key man in a squad that has several players with more talent than he currently has at his advanced age.

Behind Kudus and Williams and leading the midfield will be Arsenal mam Thomas Partey. Partey scored a big goal in the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this season and will look to cement his reputation as a big game player with some big performances in Qatar.
