Why Bet the Golden Knights:
✅ Despite the lack of success against the Devils and Rangers on this road trip, Vegas does most of their winning outside of the Sin City. The Golden Knights are 15-5-3 on the road this season.
✅ The Golden Knights used their backup goaltender on Friday night against the Rangers, which means starter Logan Thompson will play against the Isles. Thompson is 19-13-2 this season as the number one goalie in Vegas.
✅ New York’s 31st ranked powerplay puts them at an immediate disadvantage most nights. The Isles have scored only 23 times in the man advantage this season, eight less powerplay markers than the Golden Knights.

Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights are quickly losing their mojo as the NHL’s road warriors after their losses to the Devils and Rangers. Facing the worst team of the three New York/New Jersey clubs in the Islanders, there is hope the team can get back on track on the road before the all-star break.
January in general hasn’t been as successful as the first three months of the season were for the Knights. The team is 3-6-1 in their last ten games and are missing forwards Mark Stone and Nolan Patrick who both remain out with injuries.
Scoring on the powerplay has typically been the key for the Golden Knights this season. They are 13-6 when they tally at least one goal on the man advantage.
New York Islanders
The Islanders approach the All-Star break as the third worst team in the Metropolitan Division. They have failed to start 2023 on the right track and worsened their position after a six game losing streak that may have cost the club their postseason hopes.
New York snapped that losing streak on home ice on Friday night, shutting out the Detroit Red Wings to earn a 2-0 win. Anders Lee and Brock Nelson were the goalscorers in what was a much needed win for the Islanders.
Goalscoring has been the biggest issue for the Islanders this season and as of late. The Islanders haven’t scored more than two goals in six straight games and are averaging 2.9 goals per game. With such low goal scoring output, the team’s 2.7 goals allowed on defense hasn’t been enough to carry the Islanders to enough wins for a playoff spot.
