Flames vs Oilers Player Props: McDavid's Assist Price Looks Too Low

Connor McDavid has recorded 26 assists in just 12 games this season. Let that sink in for a moment.
The Edmonton Oilers captain has been producing at a remarkable pace, collecting 34 points and extending his season-opening point streak to 12 games. Perhaps even more impressively, he's recorded multiple assists in eight of those appearances.
Now comes the first Battle of Alberta of the season, with Calgary visiting Edmonton on Wednesday night. The Flames have improved considerably in recent weeks, but McDavid's 35¢ prediction market price for two or more assists looks particularly attractive.
We compare NHL prediction market prices from Kalshi and Polymarket to help you find competitive prices.

McDavid has averaged more than two assists per game this season, including 12 over his last five appearances.
He recorded three assists against Utah, Minnesota, and Carolina before adding another two against Toronto on Saturday. Even in Monday's disappointing shootout loss to Detroit, McDavid extended his season-opening point streak with another assist.
What makes his production especially encouraging is Edmonton's offensive setup.
McDavid continues to operate alongside Leon Draisaitl and Vasily Podkolzin on the Oilers' first line. He also quarterbacks the team's dangerous power play, which features Evan Bouchard.
Draisaitl has already scored 12 goals this season, giving McDavid an exceptionally dangerous finishing partner.
At 35¢, the prediction market is assigning a relatively modest probability to McDavid recording another multi-assist performance. Considering he's accomplished that in eight of 12 games, I think the price offers genuine value.
Calgary's early-season defensive numbers weren't particularly encouraging.
The Flames have conceded 3.73 goals per game, placing them among the NHL's weakest defensive teams through the opening month.
However, their recent performances tell a different story.
Calgary has won four consecutive games, defeating Carolina, Minnesota, Detroit, and Toronto. Goaltender Devin Cooley has been particularly impressive, winning four straight starts with a combined .955 save percentage.
That's worth considering before assuming Edmonton will dominate Wednesday's matchup.
The Oilers have also struggled recently, surrendering 11 goals across consecutive losses to Toronto and Detroit.
Nevertheless, Edmonton remains the NHL's highest-scoring team, averaging 4.25 goals per game. McDavid has been responsible for creating a considerable portion of that offense, and I expect him to remain heavily involved against Calgary.
The question isn't whether he can produce another spectacular performance. It's whether the prediction market has underestimated his chances of recording two assists.
At 35¢, I believe it has.
Leon Draisaitl — 2+ Points at 52¢
Draisaitl has recorded 24 points through 12 games, reaching the two-point mark seven times. His scoring form has been outstanding, and he's an obvious candidate to contribute against Calgary. At 52¢, however, the opportunity isn't quite as appealing as McDavid's assist contract.
Connor McDavid — 2+ Points at 59¢
McDavid has recorded multiple points in nine of his first 12 games. His 59¢ price certainly deserves consideration, particularly with Edmonton averaging more than four goals per game. Still, I prefer targeting his playmaking directly at the considerably lower 35¢ price.
Evan Bouchard — 1+ Assist at 64¢
Bouchard has 14 assists through 12 games and continues to play a central role in Edmonton's offense. His connection with McDavid and Draisaitl makes him a legitimate candidate for another assist, although the 64¢ price leaves less room for value.
