The Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets will meet in an all-Canadian matchup in the NHL on Wednesday night. Montreal comes into this game on 70 points and firmly in contention in the Eastern Conference playoff race, while Winnipeg has a ton of work to do to get back into the playoff race out West. Before the puck drops in Winnipeg on Wednesday, you can keep reading to find my Canadiens vs Jets prediction below.
Canadiens ML ATS PRO
Confidence: 2/5
Both teams took losses in overtime just a couple of nights ago. The Habs lost 4-3 to the Minnesota Wild, while the Jets lost 4-3 to the Dallas Stars. Both teams will try to get back into the win column before their Olympic breaks begin and it will be interesting to see how this game unfolds with a near-three-week break coming up for both sides.
Score Projection: Montreal Canadiens 3 – Winnipeg Jets 2
Win Probability: Montreal Canadiens 53%, Winnipeg Jets 47%
Montreal brings the deeper all-around roster and has been better at closing on the road, while Winnipeg’s edge rests in goal with Hellebuyck and little else. I'm going to take the Habs to get the win in this matchup, in what should be a close game from North of the border.
