Game Snapshot
- Matchup: Minnesota Timberwolves @ Toronto Raptors
- Date & Time: February 4, 2026, 7:30 PM ET

Key Storylines
- Form guide: Minnesota enters at 31-20 with a top-5 true shooting rate and elite 3-point accuracy around 37%. Toronto sits 30-21 with one of the league’s highest assist totals and a defense holding foes near 112 points per game.
- Star power: Anthony Edwards is averaging 29.7 points with efficient off-the-dribble scoring for the Wolves. Scottie Barnes continues his two-way play for Toronto with close to 20 points and 8 rebounds per game. Brandon Ingram leads Toronto in scoring with 21.9 points per game, giving the Raptors a late-clock bucket getter.
- Paint and boards: Rudy Gobert’s 11.3 rebounds and rim protection are pivotal against a Raptors group that prefers to win with ball movement rather than volume on the offensive glass. And with Jakob Poeltl out for the Raps, the Wolves should have an even bigger rebounding advantage than usual here.
- Ball handling and tempo: Toronto averages 29.3 assists and keeps pace modest, a setup that can limit live-ball turnover runouts for Minnesota. The Wolves counter with superior shooting margins that can overcome a slower tempo.
- Injuries and availability: Minnesota lists depth guard Terrence Shannon Jr. out. Toronto lists Jakob Poeltl and Chucky Hepburn out. Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle are questionable to compete in this game, which could dramatically impact the outcome, though both are expected to go.

Final Thoughts
Both of these teams are capable of playing great basketball on any given night. I give the slightest of edges to the Raptors given that they are at home and don't have quite as many injury concerns to deal with. But bettors should monitor the situations of Edwards and Randle closely leading up to tip, as the Wolves could close as bigger favorites if those two Minnesota stars are deemed able to play.
