The Buffalo Sabres will visit the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday in an Eastern Conference showdown. Buffalo enters with one of the worst records in the East, but they are trying to extend a two-game winning streak with a strong showing here. Philadelphia will try to extinguish their momentum and get back into the win column for themselves. Before this contest begins in Philly, keep reading to get my Sabres vs Flyers prediction.

Buffalo Sabres | -120 | Under 6.5 goals |
Buffalo has looked dangerous lately. They have won two games in a row entering this contest. Josh Norris returned to the lineup and tallied two goals and an assist in a 5–1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. That came after a 3–2 shootout win over the Minnesota Wild. Overall, the Sabres have taken 6 of their last 9 contests.
Philadelphia enters reeling from a 5–1 home loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Even so, the Flyers tend to respond well after poor performances. Their 14–8–3 record is that of a team that has been tough as nails despite bumps in the road.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Josh Norris (BUF) | Anytime Goal Scorer |
Tage Thompson (BUF) | Anytime Goal Scorer |
Travis Konecny (PHI) | Anytime Goal Scorer |
Trevor Zegras (PHI) | Anytime Goal Scorer |
Score Projection: Flyers 4 – Sabres 3
Win Probability: Flyers 54%, Sabres 46%
Despite the injury concerns for the Flyers going into this game, I'm going to take Philadelphia to win at home over the Sabres. Buffalo is just 2-6-2 in road games to this point in the season. They should continue to struggle away from home here against a Flyers team that has enough depth to make up for the absence of Foerster.
