- Weather may steal the show. Forecasts call for rain turning into snow, with 25–35 mph winds, and gusts potentially higher than that. Passing could be impaired on both sides, ball security will be harder, and special teams and field position could decide things.

- Can the 49ers run it if the pass is broken? Star running back Christian McCaffrey didn’t practice this week, resting ahead of a tough stretch. He’s still expected to play. In sloppy weather, his abilities as runner and receiver could be key for sustaining drives and controlling this game.
Quarterback Play
Brock Purdy has looked efficient at times this season, but his recent turnovers are a concern. Wet conditions historically bring down his completion rate and passer rating significantly. If Purdy struggles, the 49ers’ offense could struggle to do enough to win this game.
On the other side, Shedeur Sanders is still early in his career, but last week’s win sparked optimism. He completed 11 of 20 passes for 209 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He wasn’t efficient, but his deep throws were promising.
