The Divisional round of the NFL playoffs kicks off on Saturday with Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chiefs are at home coming off their playoff bye, while Jacksonville had to dig deep to be here. They completed the third largest comeback in playoff history last week against the Chargers. Oddsmakers expect the run to end here however, as the Chiefs are set as -8.5 point favorites with a total of 53.

Why Bet The McKinnon Under
✅ McKinnon, while certainly an effective and involved offensive weapon for the Chiefs, is far from the primary rusher. Those duties belong To Isiah Pacheco. We have even seen some carries sprinkled to Ronald Jones in recent weeks. In the last three games, McKinnon has not eclipsed five carries in any game and has failed to record double digit rushing yards. McKinnon is perfectly utilized as a pass catcher and the Chiefs know it.
✅ The Jaguars have been quite stout against the run. They have held Derrick Henry and Austin Ekeler to wildly inefficient rushing performances in recent weeks. The Chiefs are a team that run just enough to keep opposing defenses honest, but they will be better served to attack through the air as often as possible in this matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs
The top seeded Chiefs are off their bye week and will look to notch the first of three required wins to once again be Super Bowl Champions. This is not a matchup that should be taken lightly, as the Jaguars are truly an ascending team and one they may see often in the playoffs in years to come. There may be a year these Chiefs fall to these Jaguars, but this one likely is not it.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars went on a tear both to earn their playoff spot and then to advance to the Divisional round. This season is everything the team could have hoped for, and goes to show just how much they were held down by Urban Meyer a season ago. The Cinderella story likely ends here, but I do expect a competitive game, and a likely fun and high scoring one.
