Going into this season, one would not have expected the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to be facing the Detroit Lions for a spot in the NFC Championship Game. But that is exactly what is happening this weekend, as these two division winners will face off for the right to face either the Green Bay Packers or San Francisco 49ers next week. Here, we make our NFL betting picks for this huge matchup with our top Buccaneers vs Lions props.

Buccaneers vs Lions Player Prop #1: Sam LaPorta Anytime TD Scorer (+120)
Our first Buccaneers vs Lions prop bet is for Sam LaPorta to get into the end zone at anytime during this game. LaPorta scored the lone touchdown through the air for the Lions in their Wild Card weekend win over the Detroit Lions last week. We should see him continue to be a red zone target for Jared Goff in this contest to help the Lions hold serve as home favorites in this game.
Also important when it comes to this prop pick is the fact that LaPorta has another week of recovery under his belt after suffering a knee injury in Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings. It was not clear as to whether or not LaPorta would even play last week. Now that he has shown he can play at a high level through his injury, we like him to score once again.
Buccaneers vs Lions Player Prop #2: Baker Mayfield Under 261.5 Passing Yards (-115)
Next up, we expect Baker Mayfield to stay under his passing yardage total in this matchup. The Buccaneers quarterback had a great game last week against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round, throwing for 337 yards and three touchdowns. But that was against an Eagles team that had completely fallen apart late in the regular season, while this game is against a much more cohesive unit in the Lions.
Mayfield has yet to win a Divisional playoff game in his NFL career, going 0-1 at this stage of the postseason in his time as a pro thus far. Win or lose in this game, the Lions defense is going to do a much better job of keeping him in check than the Eagles did.
