Arizona Cardinals vs New York Giants Prediction & Market Analysis - 10/4/2026

Arizona enters Sunday at 1-2 after a 36-30 loss to San Francisco, while New York is 2-1 after grinding out a 12-7 home win over Tennessee. The records favor the Giants, but the matchup itself is less comfortable for New York. Arizona’s offense showed clear improvement in Week 3, and the Giants are now asking Jameis Winston to start again with Jaxson Dart out for the regular season and Brian Burns out with a torn ACL.
Why Our Model Sees Value:

“New York’s 2-1 record masks a major dropoff at quarterback and a pass rush that has struggled to create pressure. Arizona’s short passing game is built to exploit that weakness.”
Pricing Movement Update
Polymarket currently prices Arizona at 56¢ and New York at 44¢ on the game winner market. Arizona is also priced at 51¢ to cover 2.5 points, while the total sits at 44.5. That represents a clear move from earlier in the week, when prediction markets had this matchup much closer to a coin flip.
Giants Suffering At QB
My projection makes Arizona a 60% winner, a 4% edge over the current 56¢ price. The value comes from the way these teams are functioning right now. Arizona has the more stable quarterback situation, an efficient quick passing attack, and several reliable options underneath. New York has home-field advantage and a defense capable of creating turnovers, but asking Winston to keep pace without steady protection or a consistent pass rush on the other side is a tougher setup than the standings suggest.

Arizona needs this game to avoid falling to 1-3 after consecutive NFC West losses. The Cardinals have already dropped games to Seattle and San Francisco, so another defeat would leave them with little room for error as the season develops. New York has a chance to reach 3-1 and strengthen its early position in the NFC East, but its 2-1 start has come with major injury disruption.
This is the matchup that pushes our Cardinals vs Giants prediction toward Arizona. Jacoby Brissett completed 38 of 52 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns against San Francisco. He has also thrown 18 touchdowns against four interceptions in nine road starts with Arizona since 2025. Trey McBride has 26 catches through three games, while Michael Wilson produced 11 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown last week.
New York must generate pressure without Burns. The Giants have recorded just one sack through three games, while Arizona has allowed five. Brissett has been especially effective when kept clean, completing 78.6% of his passes for 501 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions without pressure this season. That makes Abdul Carter and Kayvon Thibodeaux vital to New York’s chances.
New York’s best path is to shorten the game with Cam Skattebo and keep Winston out of obvious passing situations. Skattebo had 100 scrimmage yards against Tennessee, including 60 rushing yards on 20 carries. Arizona has allowed 6.46 yards per play through three games, so there are openings if New York can stay on schedule.
The concern is finishing drives. The Giants scored 12 points against Tennessee, all without an offensive touchdown. Winston finished 14 of 22 for 118 yards, and his season numbers stand at 229 passing yards, no touchdowns, and one interception.
Turnovers could keep New York close. Jevón Holland has an interception in each of the first three games, and the Giants have forced five turnovers overall. Arizona, though, has lost the ball only once through three games. If Brissett protects possession and the Cardinals avoid the penalty problems that hurt them in San Francisco, Arizona should create more scoring chances.
Arizona has the stronger current quarterback play and the better offensive matchup. At 56¢, the Cardinals still offer enough room for a prediction position.
