While they have brought in some players that even the casual NBA fan may have heard of, players like Jordan Poole and Tyus Jones may struggle in environments where they are being asked to do a lot more than they were for their previous teams.
Positives & Negatives
When it comes to positives for the Washington Wizards, finally moving on from the Bradley Beal era once and for all is a positive. While it may not pay immediate dividends, the Wizards were going nowhere with Beal, and the constant drama about whether or not he was going to be dealt was always hanging over the franchise anyway. This year, the Wizards can finally focus on moving forward.
However, this Wizards roster does not have one real leader on the team. Their roster is made up entirely of second bananas, and that should prevent them from exceeding expectations, even if players like Poole and Kyle Kuzma will go off for big games once in a while.
