Why Bet the Raptors:
✅ The Raptors appear to be turning things around on their road trip. Toronto already has double digit wins over the Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers in two of the first three games of their eight game road swing.
✅ Toronto played well against the Suns in their prior meeting this season back in mid-December. Missing Fred VanVleet – who is now healthy – the Raptors still managed to claw out a 113-104 win to defend their home court.
✅ Phoenix remains short handed and will be missing a ton of backcourt depth once again on Monday night. The Suns are still missing their star scorer in Devin Booker along with role players Landry Shamet and Cameron Payne. Missing backcourt pieces plays in the hands of the Raptors, who are less likely to have their own lack of backcourt depth exploited.

Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors caught a break on their road back to back Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers. With starters Jusuf Nurkic and Josh Hart out for the Blazers, the Raptors took advantage with a hard effort to win 123-105.
Toronto’s hustle paid major dividends in the win. Without Nurkic down low for Portland, Toronto’s frontcourt wasn’t undersized for a change in a matchup and they were able to win the rebounding battle 45-27.
The Raptors will need another high effort game if they want to beat the Suns. Toronto forced 27 turnovers to beat the Suns in December, a season high for Phoenix. If the Raptors are to do it a second time, they will need maximum intensity on the defensive side of the floor.
Precious Achiuwa was a key contributor in the win for the Raptors. Achiuwa had 27 points and 13 rebounds for his sixth double double of the season. With OG Anunoby currently out injured, Achiuwa is a player to watch in the player prop market as he should see more playing time and usage until OG returns.
Phoenix Suns
Thanks to the veteran leadership of Chris Paul, the Phoenix Suns are slowly starting to win games at the pace they expect. The team has won five of their past six, including a 128-118 overtime win over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
Paul has 31 points along with 11 assists and seven rebounds in the win. It was the fourth straight game of the double digit assists for CP3 but it was almost not enough for a Suns win. The Spurs came back from 13 down in the fourth quarter to force OT before Mikal Bridges scored eight points for the Suns in the extra frame to secure the win.
DeAndre Ayton will be motivated to put forward a better performance in his second game of the season against the Raptors. Despite a perceived favorable matchup against a Raptors team that lacks a strong center, Ayton was held to four points when the two teams played in Toronto. If the Suns want to prevent a season sweep, they will need more from their former first overall draft pick.
