Pick #1: Warriors -4.5
The Golden State Warriors are an auto-bet at home at this point, as they enter this game at 28-7 at home on the season. Meanwhile, they take on a Suns team that has a losing record away from home on the year at 15-19. Backing the Warriors to win a two-possession game is certainly worth a shot here based on those numbers alone.
Add to that the fact that Kevin Durant is still out for the Suns, and the Warriors are in a great spot to win this game. With multiple teams sitting just one game behind the Warriors for the sixth seed in the Western Conference, expect Golden State to come out and protect their home court with a lot on the line.
Pick #2: Chris Paul Under 14.5 Points
The second leg of our Suns vs Warriors parlay is on the under for Chris Paul’s point total. Paul is going to have his hands full on defense in this game, which could have a negative impact on his offensive output in this contest. Golden State is a really tough team for Paul on the defensive end of the floor, as there is nowhere to hide him on a team with so many shooters at the guard spots.
This game could also get away from the Suns, to the point that Paul is left off the floor for long portions of the fourth quarter. At the very least, we expect him to labor more on defense and for that to have an impact on his scoring.
Pick #3: Steph Curry 5+ Threes
Finally, we like Steph Curry to hit five or more threes in this game. That sounds like a square play, but his numbers since returning from injury justify a play on the over on his threes made at five. Curry has made five or more threes in three of his four games since coming back, and we expect him to make it four out of five this time around.
