Key Storylines
- The Orlando Magic leads the series 3-1 and can close it out on the road after back-to-back wins at home.
- Detroit has struggled late in games, including scoring just 19 fourth-quarter points in Game 4.
- Turnovers remain a major issue for the Pistons, committing 20 in their latest loss.
- Nobody on the Pistons scored 15 points or more in Game 4 outside of Cade Cunningham and Tobias Harris. Additional scorers will need to step up for Detroit to keep its season alive.
Key Players
Detroit Pistons
- Cade Cunningham: The engine of the offense, averaging 23.9 points and 9.9 assists per game this season. He scored 25 points in Game 4 but has struggled with turnovers, including eight in that contest.
- Jalen Duren: A dominant presence inside with 10.5 rebounds per game. His ability to control the glass is critical for second-chance opportunities. But he's not doing enough offensively and that has hurt the Detroit Pistons throughout this series.
- Tobias Harris: A reliable scoring option who added 20 points in Game 4, helping stabilize the offense when Cunningham faces pressure.
Orlando Magic
- Paolo Banchero: Leads the team with 22.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. His versatility has been key throughout the series, though he shot a miserable 4/18 from the field in Game 4.
- Franz Wagner: Averaging nearly 19 points in recent games, though his status is worth monitoring after leaving Game 4 with a calf issue.
- Desmond Bane: Delivered 22 points in Game 4, including a clutch three-pointer late, showing his importance as a perimeter scorer for Orlando.

Magic vs Pistons Game 5 Model Projection
- Score Projection: Pistons 119 - Magic 109
- Win Probability: Pistons 68%, Magic 32%
Despite trailing in the series, Detroit remains the more complete team on paper. The Pistons finished the regular season with elite efficiency on both ends, including a strong defensive rating and superior rebounding numbers. The biggest issue has been execution late in games, especially turnovers from Cunningham and inconsistent shooting from the supporting cast. But I think that the Pistons will avoid those issues in this game and force Orlando to try and close this series out on its home floor. I'll lay the points with Detroit in Game 5.
