The Milwaukee Bucks head into Thursday night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs searching for rhythm, while the Spurs aim to build on a strong season in a compelling inter-conference showdown at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. The Bucks come into this contest with a losing record and some injury concerns, while San Antonio has put together one of the better records in the league this season and is favored ahead of this game. Here, I've got you covered with my Bucks vs Spurs prediction in the betting markets for Thursday.
Pick: | Spurs -7.5 ATS PRO |
Confidence: | 3/5 |
San Antonio enters this game with a 27-13 record and is hoping to utilize its home court advantage against a struggling Milwaukee team that is sitting at 17-23. The Spurs are positioned as significant favorites, which reflects both their superior overall record and the status of key Bucks players. Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable with an ankle issue, while Taurean Prince is out, and Myles Turner is day-to-day with an illness.
On the Spurs’ side, Devin Vassell remains out with a groin strain, leaving San Antonio to rely heavily on Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox for scoring. Wembanyama hit a milestone with his 500th career block recently and continues to be a defensive force while also contributing on the offensive end of the floor. The Bucks’ uncertain lineup and the Spurs’ depth advantage will do a lot to shape the betting picture for this contest.
Both teams have lost two games in a row coming into this matchup. The Spurs have dropped consecutive games to fellow Western Conference contenders in the Timberwolves and Thunder. Milwaukee has lost to the Timberwolves and Nuggets in its last two outings. But one of these teams will end its losing streak with a victory here.
Score Projection: Spurs 118 – Bucks 107 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Spurs 69%, Bucks 31% ATS PRO
I'm laying the points with the San Antonio Spurs in this contest from Frost Bank Center. The Spurs have their top three players healthy and available for this game, while we are not sure as to what the status is for Giannis Antetokounmpo on the Milwaukee side. Even with Giannis, the Bucks are struggling, and I'm expecting that to continue here.
