The Seattle Kraken are set to visit the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Thursday night in NHL action. Boston enters this matchup as a favorite, riding a four-game winning streak and getting solid goaltending from Jeremy Swayman, while Seattle looks to snap some of that momentum as the underdog in this inter-conference contest. Before the puck drops in Boston, keep reading to get my Kraken vs Bruins prediction on the ice.
Pick: | Bruins -1.5 ATS PRO |
Confidence: | 4/5 |
The Bruins have won four consecutive games, including a shutout of the Detroit Red Wings in their latest outing, as Jeremy Swayman posted 24 saves in that contest. Boston is trending upward, outscoring their opponents 18-3 over their last four games.
Seattle has shown flashes of firepower, notably in its previous meeting with Boston earlier this month, when it defeated them 7‑4. However, its overall road form is middling, and the Kraken have dropped three of their last four games entering this one.
Jeremy Swayman has been reliable, coming off multiple solid performances and logging quality starts during the Bruins’ current win streak. Swayman’s consistency gives Boston a slight edge between the pipes, especially at home against an opponent that is on the second leg of a back-to-back.
Seattle’s goaltending has been less consistent. Philipp Grubauer has faced high shot volumes at times, and while capable of big saves, he has been tested more frequently than Swayman. It will be interesting to see who the Kraken go with in goal given that they are playing for the second straight day.
Score Projection: Boston Bruins 4 – Seattle Kraken 2 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Bruins 59%, Kraken 41% ATS PRO
The Bruins should roll in this contest from TD Garden on Thursday night. The Bruins have a rest advantage, are playing on home ice, and are dominating their opponents over the last four games. Expect another convincing showing for the Bruins, as they should get a fifth straight win at the expense of a struggling Seattle squad.
