The Los Angeles Lakers hold a 2-1 series lead over the Memphis Grizzlies heading into Game 4 of their Western Conference first round series. Why Bet the Lakers:
✅ The Grizzlies lost by double digits to the Lakers on Saturday despite Los Angeles shooting just 7/28 from three-point range. The Lakers will shoot a little better from distance in this game and that will help propel them to a win.
✅ The play of Rui Hachimura off the bench has been huge for the Lakers in this series, as he has scored over 15 points in all three games thus far. He will continue to make an impact and help the Lakers’ second unit outclass that of the Grizzlies.
✅ Memphis is now 16-26 on the road this season between the regular season and the playoffs.

Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies got off to a horrible start in Game 3 against the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring just nine first quarter points en route to a 10-point loss to fall behind 2-1 in this best of seven series. Ja Morant did score 45 points in the losing effort, but the Grizzlies also lost Dillon Brooks due to an ejection, which he blamed on his reputation rather than his hitting LeBron James in the groin.
In Game 4, along with avoiding any groin-related violence, the Grizzlies need to do a better job defensively against Anthony Davis. Davis scored 31 points on 11/24 shooting and went 8/10 from the free-throw line as well. Memphis cannot allow him to get to his spots quite as often in this game if they want any chance to even this series at two games apiece.
Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers took care of business at home in a big way on Saturday, winning by double digits to take a 2-1 series lead over the Memphis Grizzlies. In what was a total team effort, the Lakers held Memphis under 40% shooting as a team, despite Ja Morant going off in the fourth quarter. Here, the Lakers have a golden opportunity to take a 3-1 lead before this series heads back to Memphis for Game 5.
For the Lakers, the question will be whether they can find a third scorer behind James and Davis again on Monday night. The trio of D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, and Rui Hachimura all scored into the teens on Saturday night for the Lakers. If they can do so again here, the Lakers have a great chance to move to within a game of advancing to the second round.
