Injury reports and the health of both teams loom large for this game. The Warriors are contending with Seth Curry sidelined due to a thigh issue, while Al Horford is day-to-day with back soreness. Golden State’s core remains intact in spite of those concerns, with Stephen Curry leading them in scoring, but the absence of reliable role players can prevent them from reaching an offensive flow. For the Clippers, Derrick Jones Jr. is dealing with a knee injury, while Bogdan Bogdanovic is out with a hamstring injury.
Golden State’s recent performance has been strong for the most part, highlighted by their 123-114 victory over Utah. However, a 131-94 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder exposed vulnerabilities against top-tier competition. The Clippers saw a six-game win streak snapped by a 146-115 defeat to Boston, getting torched by Jaylen Brown. With both teams looking to get into a rhythm, this game could hinge on execution in clutch moments from star players.
Speaking of star players, the Clippers have a healthy Kawhi Leonard on the floor for this matchup. Leonard has been great this season, averaging 28.3 points per game. The Warriors could have a hard time guarding Leonard, thanks to all the ways he can score.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Stephen Curry | Under 27.5 Points |
Kawhi Leonard | Over 28.5 Points |
James Harden | Over 8.5 Assists |
Score Projection: Golden State 113 – Los Angeles 117
Win Probability: Warriors 48%, Clippers 52%
My best bet for this contest is for the LA Clippers to pick up a win at home over the Warriors. Golden State is always a dangerous team with Steph Curry leading them. But the Warriors are 8-12 on the road for the year and the Clippers should get the job done against them here.
