The Celtics enter this contest with a relatively healthy roster, with the exception of Jayson Tatum, who is out with an Achilles injury. Jaylen Brown has been the player who has filled the void left by Tatum the most effectively, averaging 29.6 points per game on the season. Boston has won four straight games, all of which have come by double-digits against struggling opponents. Without Nikola Jokic to contend with on Denver's side, the Celtics will feel confident that they can snag a fifth straight win.
The Nuggets are contending with an avalanche of injuries to cornerstone players, including Nikola Jokic and several other starters who are either sidelined or questionable for this game. Denver’s bench has helped them remain competitive without Jokic, with impressive performances from role players. But without their star and their full rotation, the Nuggets have been forced to adapt. The Nuggets shocked the Philadelphia 76ers in their last game and will try to get another impressive win over an Eastern Conference opponent tonight.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Jaylen Brown | Over 30.5 Points |
Jamal Murray | Over 26.5 Points |
Score Projection: Boston Celtics 120 – Denver Nuggets 114
Win Probability: Boston Celtics 72%, Denver Nuggets 28%
This game will be an interesting one, as both teams have to overcome the absence of their top player. I think that the Celtics will win the game on their home floor, but that it will be reasonably close. Expect the Nuggets to cover the spread as an underdog in this game behind a strong offensive performance from Jamal Murray, which will keep them within striking distance at TD Garden.
