Two contenders with real title aspirations collide in Denver as the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena. The Cavaliers arrive with Donovan Mitchell in peak form, Jarrett Allen fresh off a statement week, and the franchise absorbing the shock of a headline-grabbing deal bringing James Harden to Ohio. Denver counters with Nikola Jokic back orchestrating at an MVP level, and Jamal Murray playing like an All-Star. Market makers have installed the Nuggets as small home favorites and you can find my Cavaliers vs Nuggets prediction below.

Key Storylines
- The Nuggets' health picture brightened with Nikola Jokic back and producing near 30-12-11 per game. Jamal Murray has earned his first All-Star nod and has carried a heavy usage load all season and will be counted on to score in this game as well.
- Cleveland made waves by acquiring James Harden for Darius Garland in early February. Harden has been on the floor much more consistently than Garland, making this trade an instant upgrade for the Cavs, while Evan Mobley is projected back on February 11 and Max Strus later in February.
- Jarrett Allen erupted for a career-high 40 in Portland on February 1, a timely lift with Mobley sidelined. Mitchell remains Cleveland’s engine at 28.9 PPG and 5.9 APG.
- Scheduling and altitude: Cleveland closes a Western swing at elevation in this contest, while Denver returns home after a three-game road trip that included losses to other Eastern Conference contenders in the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Head-to-Head & Betting Trends

- Cleveland is 21-32 against the spread going into this contest.
- Denver enters this contest with a 31-22 record against the spread for the season.

Score Projection: Cavaliers 114 – Nuggets 118
Win Probability: Cavaliers 45%, Nuggets 55%
Final Thoughts
The number tells the story: books respect Denver’s altitude edge and Jokic’s on-ball orchestration but won’t drift far with Cleveland’s form and the possibility of Harden joining Mitchell on the court. With Mobley still projected out through February 11, Allen shoulders the interior burden against Jokic’s minutes. That should help Denver come away with the win in this game and I will go with the Nuggets to win and cover the spread on Monday night.
