The Atlanta Hawks head to Philadelphia on Thursday night to face the 76ers in what promises to be an interesting Eastern Conference battle. Both teams come out of the All-Star break in interesting spots, with both squads in the top 10 in the East standings. Philly is a slight favorite going into this game, but will need to overcome a key injury to get the win here. Key Players
Philadelphia 76ers
- Tyrese Maxey: The 76ers’ top scorer and playmaker, averaging 28.9 points and 6.8 assists per game. He creates offense for himself and others and will need to be aggressive with the absence of Joel Embiid.
- VJ Edgecombe: Philadelphia’s secondary scoring option, who contributes nearly 15 points per game and helps balance the floor. His shooting efficiency and decision-making will be crucial.
- Andre Drummond: Offers rebounding and interior toughness with an average of 8.6 boards, giving Philadelphia a presence on the glass even with Embiid missing this game due to a sore shin (which the All-Star break didn't manage to help, apparently).
Atlanta Hawks
- Jalen Johnson: The Hawks’ multifaceted forward is at the heart of Atlanta’s offense, averaging 23.3 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per outing. He can affect the game in multiple ways.
- Nickeil Alexander-Walker: A reliable offensive contributor with over 20 points per game. NAW is shooting efficiently from downtown and creating matchup problems for opposing defenses.
- CJ McCollum: Adds consistent scoring, averaging 18.8 points per game with a respectable three-point accuracy, helping spread the floor more for the Hawks.

Final Thoughts
It's hard to feel all that confident in either of these teams, given how many changes the Hawks made at the trade deadline and given that the Sixers are without Embiid and Paul George. Still, I'd go with the Hawks as my top pick in the betting markets for this contest, as they have a little more continuity to enjoy going into this one.
