Rays vs Pirates Model Projection
- Score Projection: Tampa Bay Rays 3 - Pittsburgh Pirates 5
- Win Probability: Tampa Bay Rays 44%, Pittsburgh Pirates 56%
Rasmussen has clearly been the more effective pitcher so far, but Pittsburgh’s offense is trending upward and already showed it can produce against solid pitching. On the other side, Skenes has not been dominant, yet he continues to limit damage and benefits from consistent run support. Skenes also has the higher ceiling in any game that he appears in, given his track record. With the Pirates at home and swinging the bat well, they hold a slight edge in what should be a competitive game. I'll take Pittsburgh to get the win at PNC Park.
