The St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers wrap up their early-season series on Sunday, with Detroit holding a clear edge after an offensive outburst in the previous game. The Tigers powered their way to an 11-6 win on Saturday, showcasing a lineup capable of producing runs in bunches. Both clubs enter this contest with identical 4-4 records, but the tone of the series has been set by Detroit’s bats and St. Louis’ inconsistent pitching. Before the first pitch is thrown on Sunday Night Baseball, continue reading to find my Cardinals vs Tigers prediction below.

Cardinals vs Tigers Model Projection
- Score Projection: St. Louis Cardinals 4 - Detroit Tigers 6
- Win Probability: St. Louis Cardinals 45%, Detroit Tigers 55%
Detroit enters this game with a clear offensive edge after hammering St. Louis pitching throughout the series. The Cardinals have shown flashes at the plate, highlighted by Walker’s breakout performance, but their inability to limit opposing hitters remains a major concern. With Leahy carrying a high ERA and allowing consistent contact, the Tigers are well-positioned to generate scoring opportunities once again. My best bet here is to lay the runline with the Tigers in the finale of this weekend series.
