The New York Yankees roll into Rate Field on Wednesday night looking to pick up a third straight win against the Chicago White Sox. New York already won the first two games of this four-game set and sends its best arm of the season, Cam Schlittler, to the mound against a White Sox lineup that has cooled off at exactly the wrong time. With first place in the AL Central still within reach for Chicago and the AL East title still well within reach for the Yankees, this Yankees vs White Sox matchup might be the most significant game on the MLB Wednesday slate.
Cam Schlittler has been one of the best stories in baseball this season, carrying a 2.07 ERA, a stingy 0.93 WHIP and 157 strikeouts into a start against a White Sox offense that has managed just a .227 batting average over its last 10 games. Davis Martin has pitched well enough to keep Chicago in games, but a 3.49 ERA and 1.27 WHIP simply do not stack up against what Schlittler is bringing to the mound right now. New York has also won 7 of its last 10 overall and already has a 4-1 edge in this season series, a gap that lines up with the talent difference on the mound tonight.
Chicago's saving grace has been its record at home, where the White Sox have gone 32-21, and its bullpen has kept some recent games within reach even when the starting pitching has faltered. Still, with New York getting the ball to Schlittler and Chicago missing key pieces, the Yankees look like the side to lean on, as they should win this game by at least two runs.

Total Parlay Odds: +480
Schlittler has racked up strikeouts at nearly a nine-per-start clip this season, and a White Sox lineup already hitting .227 over its last 10 games is a group he can force plenty of swings and misses against. Combine that with an offense in New York that has scored less explosively of late, and the under paired with the run line gives this parlay a clean, connected build that has a very realistic shot to cash.
