Colorado Rockies vs Houston Astros Prediction: Can Astros Complete Sweep Of Colorado?

The Colorado Rockies continue their road trip with another tough test against the Houston Astros on Thursday night. Colorado enters this contest struggling away from home and stuck in a losing streak, while Houston is beginning to stabilize after snapping a prolonged skid earlier in the week. With both teams sitting below .500, the Astros have already taken control of the series, and will try to complete a sweep in this Rockies vs Astros series finale.
The numbers point to a clear edge for Houston, particularly when factoring in situational performance. The Astros have been far more reliable at home, and their lineup has shown signs of waking up after a slow stretch. Both starting pitchers going into this matchup have struggled mightily. But the offense of the Astros and their bullpen is better than what Colorado has to offer, which should ultimately help the Astros to create separation in the final game of this three-game set.
With Houston trending upward and Colorado still searching for answers away from home, the Astros have the stronger overall team. Expect Houston to control the game and for them to win this game by at least two runs. I recommend laying the runline with the Astros, as they should be able to complete the three-game sweep of the Rockies and move closer to the .500 mark heading into their weekend series with the St. Louis Cardinals at home.
