The PGA Tour continues its west coast swing with a trip to arguably the home of American golf, Pebble Beach, in addition to rounds at Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula Country Club, where the most star-studded group of players taking this course this week may not be the PGA Tour golfers, but the celebrities playing in this week’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The event brings out some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment, including Aaron Rodgers, Bill Murray, and Jason Bateman just to name a few. So expect to see just as many celebrities hitting shots this week as the pros do. But, that doesn’t mean there aren’t big names in the PGA field, here’s a look at this week’s golf betting picks for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am.

Why Bet On Seamus Power:
✅ Power has had strong success at this event in the past, including lapping the field through two rounds last year when he held a five-shot lead before finishing
✅ With three fairly short courses by PGA Tour standards, wedge play will be a must this week, and Power is a solid wedge player.
✅ There’s no real weaknesses in his game, and at a tournament that features three different courses in what should be somewhat chilly weather, just being consistent as you move from course to course should pay big dividends.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Course Breakdown
The star of the weekend is the famed Pebble Beach, who will host two of this week’s four rounds, including the final round on Sunday.
What more can you say about Pebble Beach other than it might be the most famous golf course in America, and one of the most famous in the world. The Tour pros won’t be tested with length this week, measuring in at under 7,000 yards, but will instead need to rely on accuracy to the small greens, and being precise with their wedges.
Spyglass Hill is the longest at 7,041 yards, and has over 60 bunkers for the players to try and avoid. Monterey Peninsula is the newest addition the the Pro-Am and while it’s not long 6,934 yards, sloping greens and over 130 bunkers make this potentially the toughest of the three courses they’ll face this weekend.
Pebble and Monterey play as Par 72, while Spyglass is a Par 71.
Other Golfers Who Can Win the Pebble Beach Pro-Am
Tom Hoge (+2200): Hoge won this event last year, and checks the biggest box needed to do well at this event: Dominate with your wedges. In fact, among the field, Hoge is the best there is at getting the ball near the hole with a wedge in his hand, averaging less than 15 feet to the hole. Again, distance is not paramount here.
Andrew Putnam (+3000): Putnam is another guy who seems to put it together at these courses, taking home a sixth-place finish last year, which included holding the lead after 54 holes. Putnam has yet to miss a cut this season, and while he’s not the longest hitter, again, that’s not a big factor this week at any of the three courses.
Maverick McNealy (+1800): It feels like it’s only a matter of time before he wins on the PGA Tour, so why not this week? McNealy in his short time on Tour has played very well at this event, finishing as the runner-up in 2021, and a Top-5 in 2020. McNealy has been steady during the 2022-23 season, with five finishes inside the Top-20.
