New Mexico State Looks For Second Straight Win
The New Mexico State Aggies are 2-5 overall and 1-3 in Conference USA play this season. But they did get a win in their last outing, beating Louisiana Tech 33-30 in double overtime two weeks ago. Off of a win and a bye, the Aggies will hope that they are fresh and operating with some momentum that could produce a second straight victory. However, their suspect defense could prevent that from happening, as the Aggies have allowed 30 or more points in every game they have played against an FBS opponent this season.
Can FIU Avoid Fourth Straight Loss?
Florida International is 2-6 overall this season and is 1-3 in Conference USA action. The Panthers have lost three games in a row, falling against Liberty, UTEP, and Sam Houston in their last three outings. With that said, all three of those games have been decided by single-digits, as FIU has been competitive despite their recent string of defeats. If FIU’s offense can wake up against a bad New Mexico State defense, they could remain in the hunt for bowl eligibility, as they need to win out to reach six wins on the year.

While FIU has struggled lately, their offense should be able to get up and running against a NMSU defense that has been one of the worst in college football this year.
