The Saint Mary’s Gaels and Boise State Broncos will square off Sunday evening in a non-conference college basketball matchup between two strong programs from outside the Power 4. Saint Mary’s arrives with a 9-1 record, while Boise State holds a 7-3 record and seeks a fourth consecutive victory. The Gaels are slight favorites going into this game and you can find my Saint Mary's vs Boise State prediction right here.

Saint Mary’s enters this neutral-site battle as a slight favorite with momentum from a 9-1 start and a strong scoring margin. The Gaels average 81.0 points per game while holding opponents to 63.5 points per game. The Gaels are led by Paulius Murauskas, who is scoring 18 points per game and will try to help his team get a win on the road.
Boise State is 7-3 and riding a three-game win streak, including a convincing performance against Duquesne where multiple players contributed in double figures. Drew Fielder leads the Broncos at 13.6 points per contest and Boise State spreads scoring across its rotation, which can present matchup challenges. The question will be whether or not the Broncos can achieve that kind of balance against an elite defensive team in Saint Mary's.
Score Projection: Saint Mary’s 75 – Boise State 71
Win Probability: Saint Mary’s 58%, Boise State 42%
This should be an incredibly close game between a couple of solid programs from the WCC and Mountain West. I'm going to roll with the Gaels in this contest as a slight favorite, as they are likely to use their top-20 defense (according to KenPom) to stifle the offense of the Broncos and come away with a win in one of the better games on the college basketball schedule on Sunday.
