The Los Angeles Lakers hit the road to face the Phoenix Suns on Sunday in a Western Conference game between teams that are coming off disappointing NBA Cup quarterfinal exits. Los Angeles enters with one of the league’s most productive offenses led by Luka Dončić, while Phoenix continues to juggle injuries that have forced role players into expanded minutes. Before this game begins from Phoenix, my Lakers vs Suns prediction and a full breakdown of the game can be found below.

Injuries remain the central talking point for this game. The Lakers are expected to be without Austin Reaves due to a calf issue. Even so, Los Angeles continues to lean heavily on Luka Dončić, who is averaging 35 points per game and consistently gets the looks he wants offensively.
Phoenix has its own concerns, with Jalen Green and Isaiah Livers sidelined and Devin Booker listed as questionable with a groin injury. Dillon Brooks is also questionable, further clouding the Suns’ wing depth. If Booker is limited or unable to go, Phoenix could struggle to generate enough offense to win this game. But if Booker plays, things will get very interesting very quickly here.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Luka Dončić | Over 35.5 Points |
Devin Booker | Over 21.5 Points |
Mark Williams | Over 8.5 Rebounds |
Score Projection: Lakers 114 – Suns 118
Win Probability: Lakers 48%, Suns 52%
This should be a highly competitive game in the Western Conference. I'm going with the Phoenix Suns to win this contest on their home floor on Sunday night. The status of Reaves will make a huge impact on this contest, as him being out will give the Lakers fewer scoring options to rely on beyond the incomparable Doncic. The Suns should take advantage of that and get an important win at home.
