Dayton Flyers – We Aren’t Good Away from Home
Dayton advanced to the Atlantic 10 Final with a 78-68 victory over the Fordham Rams. The final score is not indicative of how this game went as the Rams were right there most of the way and put up a good fight. The win is the Flyers third win in their last four games.
The Flyers visited the Siegel Center in early February and left with a surprising 62-58 victory. It is always tough to win at VCU, especially when you aren’t good on the road to being with.
Dayton ranks out as the 76th best team in the nation, second in the Atlantic 10, and are a poor 2-7 in their Quad One and Quad Two games this season.
VCU Rams – The Clear Best in the Conference
VCU remained red hot and advanced to the A10 Final with a 90-78 victory over the Saint Louis Billikens. The Rams were solid in both halves and continued to look like the best team in the conference.
Playing at UD Arena in mid-January, the Rams used a big second half and scored a rare win on the road at Dayton. This was the statement game for many in the A10.
VCU ranks out as the 61st best team in the nation and are just 4-5 in their Q1 and Q2 opportunities this year. The Rams would be a 12 seed if they were to win the A10 Tournament Sunday.
