The Big East schedule pits the Creighton Bluejays against the Providence Friars on Friday night in what is expected to be a closely contested game. Creighton arrives in Rhode Island with plenty of confidence following a dramatic overtime win over Georgetown in which guard Austin Swartz exploded for 33 points and hit an efficient 8 of 12 shots from long range. Providence is trying to halt a three‑game home losing streak and find consistency in Big East play after an 88‑82 loss to Villanova. Here, I break down this contest in college basketball and give you my Creighton vs Providence prediction.
Pick: | Providence ML ATS PRO |
Confidence: | 3/5 |
Score Projection: Creighton 79 – Providence 80 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Creighton 49%, Providence 51% ATS PRO
I'm expecting an extremely close game between Creighton and Providence on Friday night. I lean toward the Friars getting the win as a slight underdog on their home floor, as Creighton has a losing record on the road and doesn't have the explosive scorer that can carry them through a tough conference road test on a consistent basis. Expect the Friars to end their three-game losing streak in this contest.
