Where is the 2025 A-10 Tournament Taking Place?
This year’s Atlantic 10 Tournament is taking place at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Geographically, this location isn’t overly beneficial to VCU, as the school is located just under two hours away from the venue. But it is certainly more convenient a trip than Brooklyn, NY, which has been the site of the A-10 tourney many times in the recent past.
The last time this tournament was held in D.C. was 2022, when the Richmond Spiders ran through the field to come out on top. This marks the third time in the history of this conference tournament that Washington D.C. is the host site.
2025 Atlantic 10 Tournament Format and Schedule
The 2025 Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament is single elimination, and participating teams will be seeded 1-15 based on their conference record during the 2024-2025 regular season. The top 4 seeds will advance directly to the quarterfinals, and the 5-9 seeds will advance directly to the second round. The 10-15 seeds, on the other hand, will compete against one another in the first round of the tournament.
The tournament will run from Wednesday, March 12 to Sunday, March 16. The games will air on a combination of USA Network, Peacock, and NBC.

VCU Rams
The VCU Rams are the favorites going into the Atlantic 10 Tournament. The Rams went 15-3 in conference play this season, going 25-6 overall on the year. VCU lost their regular season finale to Dayton at home, which is concerning heading into conference tournament time. George Mason Patriots
George Mason was one of the pleasant surprises in mid-major college basketball this year. The Patriots also finished with a 15-3 record in the A-10 this season. For them, the question in this tournament will be whether they can deliver away from home. George Mason went 17-1 at home this season but was a mediocre 7-6 on the road and they will need to prove themselves at a neutral site in this event.
Dayton Flyers
Dayton has been a powerhouse in the Atlantic 10 for years now, but they only have one Atlantic 10 Tournament title in their history. That came all the way back in 2003, as they were robbed of their chance to win it with arguably the best team in A-10 history in 2020. Dayton doesn’t have an easy path to the title this year either, but they are always a threat and will be again this time around.
