Seattle Storm vs Indiana Fever Prediction & Preview - 7/17/2026

The Indiana Fever host the Seattle Storm on Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and on paper this one looks like a mismatch dressed up as a basketball game. Indiana enters at 14-10 and firmly in the playoff picture, riding the top-scoring offense in the league at 93.2 points per game, while Seattle stumbles in at 6-20, losers of three straight and stuck at 2-12 on the road. Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston give the Fever three legitimate All-Stars to throw at a Storm defense that has had trouble slowing anyone down this season. Seattle does have a bright spot in rookie center Dominique Malonga, who has grabbed at least nine boards in four consecutive outings, but asking a rebuilding roster to keep pace with Indiana's firepower in Indianapolis is a tall order.
Indiana's blend of guard play and interior scoring should be too much for a Storm team that ranks near the bottom of the league defensively and has struggled to find offense on the road. Clark and Mitchell combine to average more than 42 points a night between them, and Boston gives Indiana a reliable low-post scorer who should feast against Seattle's undersized frontcourt behind Malonga.
Seattle's calling card this season has been its inability to close out the first half, and Indiana's transition attack, which ranks among the fastest in the league, should punish those lapses early. Look for the Fever to build a comfortable cushion by the third quarter and cruise from there.

Combined odds for the parlay are +525 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Mitchell has cleared 19.5 points in a majority of her outings this season while shooting 48.6% from the field, and a Storm defense that ranks among the league's weakest against perimeter scorers should let her get to her spots early and often. The under ties in nicely with a projected final score in the 160s, well under the posted total, while the spread reflects the wide gap in overall quality between these two rosters.
Caitlin Clark Over 7.5 assists (+105 at DraftKings Sportsbook) is our prop pick for this contest. Clark is averaging 7.7 assists per game this season and has a clear scoring advantage to work with against a Storm team that struggles to contain dribble penetration. With Indiana likely to control the pace and get out in transition, Clark should have plenty of chances to find open teammates for easy buckets, making the over an appealing option separate from the parlay above.
