The Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries are set for a rematch on Friday night at Chase Center, just two days removed from a 77-66 Golden State win that snapped Atlanta's four-game winning streak. This is the second of three meetings between these clubs over a 10-day stretch, and the Dream will be eager to atone for a rough shooting night that saw them limited to a season-low point total. Golden State, meanwhile, looks to complete a home sweep of the series behind a defense that ranks among the best in the league.
Golden State's defense was the deciding factor on Wednesday, holding Atlanta to just nine points on 2-for-14 shooting in the second quarter and forcing the Dream into their lowest-scoring outing of the season. That same defensive shape, built around length on the perimeter from Gabby Williams and Veronica Burton, along with disciplined closeouts on three-point shooters, should again give Atlanta's offense some trouble.
Atlanta's offensive rebounding through Angel Reese and second-chance opportunities will keep this game competitive, but our model leans toward the Valkyries finishing the job and completing the home sweep behind continued hot shooting from beyond the arc and another strong two-way performance from Williams.
Parlay Odds: +550
The under is supported by a combined score of 143 points on Wednesday and Golden State's league-low mark in opponent points allowed, while Williams scored 23 points in the first meeting and should see a heavy workload again against an Atlanta defense still adjusting to her movement off screens.
Angel Reese Over 11.5 Rebounds at -128 on DraftKings Sportsbook stands out as a strong play separate from the parlay above. Reese ranks among the league leaders in rebounding and is averaging just under 12 boards per game, and Golden State's frontcourt rotation is thin with Iliana Rupert out for the season. Atlanta is also still without center Brionna Jones, which means Reese continues to see extended minutes and ample chances to attack the glass on both ends. She finished with 12 rebounds on Wednesday despite a difficult shooting night, and the matchup against a smaller, perimeter-oriented Golden State frontcourt favors another strong rebounding performance.
